Hi.
I know there has been a number of threads relating to this. I had this problem a while back which made the car a pain to drive in slow traffic. I did investigate and wiggled the plugs on the clutch pedal and the one under the car on the nearside front. I have no idea what system this plug relates to. This cured the problem. The engine revs problem came back a couple of months ago. Yesterday I did an oil change whilst under the car I investigated the plug in question. It was clean and corrosion free, the two pins appeared to be okay. However one pin socket was distorted, I carefully straightened it up and plugged it back in. The car now runs faultlessly, it is smother and seems to have a bit more get up and go. I am posting this as I know this can be a common problem and checking this plug is worth doing for anyone who has similar issues.
Regards
Richard.
