I dont get any clutch slip when road rallying, Im generally pushing the poor thing pretty hard then, I do however on one particular hill start that I do on my way home from work, a set of lights I always get stuck at on a really steep hill. Quite often get a smell of clutch from that one :(.

Definetely go for the 2.0. The engine is far better than the old zetecs, its chain driven - no cam belts :D, its ally blocked, its got a better crank housing etc etc, The ports and valves are FAR better in stock form than you will get out of the old zetec. To be fair you can get 200hp easily...

I doubt the stock induction \ exhaust have really got the flow capacity to reach 200hp. You can get serious head work and cams etc done at a company like shawspeed, but you WILL need to upgrade other parts to unlock the potential of that work, dont think for a second that gas flowing cylinder...
