just a little more of the same.

Breathing mods, Air filter, free flowing exhaust. Won't do much to performance but it'll add some fun.

Blurple Beast (formerly aka Black Chance)

Well, it was a disappointing day yesterday. 80 miles to go and see this Puma and .... Interior was soaked, windscreen seals had cracked and split, I've never seen so much touch up paint on a bonnet in my life (And I've inspected many a bonnet!) Front rubber lip thingy missing, rear lense...

    Grumbles, moans and rants

Feeling your pain there, I also do a 50 mile each way commute... But I've just jumped into a company car (Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI) and its got a leaky injector and only manages 350 miles on a £60 tank and its 95% motorway driving :'( can't swap out until something else diesel comes in under a...

Blurple Beast (formerly aka Black Chance)

Little update, finally got a reply from the girl with the cat-c puma. Apparently had someone go into the back of it on a carpark in 2011, 5inch crack and apparently ford wanted £900 odd quid for a new bumber? Wrote it off. Anyway a couple more texts down the line I managed to haggle 70% off the...

    Calling welders...

On second thoughts, I may well want to build a complete exhaust system if I get any good. And 35amps Min may be a tad high for exhausts? May go with something a little more expensive that does 25-90?

    Calling welders...

No, no... that machine is gas/gasless switchable. I'd use gas on it, I'd get a proper mask, few on ebay for £25-£30 which seem to be ok. Not heard of an autojumble before! Double outlet gas supply means nothing to me, although I did just visit mig-welding.co.uk and now have the basic theory in...

    Calling welders...

Thanks for the info matey, much appreciated. I worked for a company that did exhausts for JLR and Toyota and had a go with a mig and managed to put down a few pretty decent welds apparently (bracket to a silencer) so I think I've got the creative flare for it so to speak. It's going to be a case...

    Calling welders...

Thanks Barry, Needs wise it would be mild/stainess for brackets, exhausts and a bit of bodywork perhaps. I've seen a few gas/gasless convertible units in my price range...

Blurple Beast (formerly aka Black Chance)

Well that particular puma was a no go, made another offer after I found out it was cat-c and no reply. The hunt for blurpleness continues! I've cheekily started buying bits for the yet to be blurple beast too... Won a T25 plated manifold on ebay (may need some adjusting) and in the process of...

    Calling welders...

I'm planning to do a turbo conversion and I've been doing a lot of reading over the past few days of the various projects going down in puma land. It seems that 99% of the successful conversions done have had master welders at the helm (Or phat wallets :D ).... I've worked around welders a lot...
