    Sand's "greenland" 1.7 VCT

Good choice, I am seriously thinking about ordering those for my Puma. Had those in a Saxo VTS(Cup) years ago and they were fine. Had Brembo Max in a 106 Rallye and did not like them.

    Puma 1.7 VCT from Portugal

Well.. starting to get a few bits for the car Already got the Wheel cap that was missing, and two extra wheels. Got also the Tow hook that was missing and a Factory Radio from a Fiesta Techno. At least this one has a working CD player. did not have much time to drive around and i still need to...

    Locks and Immobiliser

Now that my Puma is running, i want to start fiddling with the bits that are missing. I may have the oportunity to get a lot of parts from a 1997 1.25 Fiesta Mk4 from same month of production of my Puma. My Puma just has one key, the simple key without the buttoms to unlock and even not the...

    Puma 1.7 VCT from Portugal

So .. Today was a big day. As i suspected.. changing the engine loom would be a $&%&$% ... The loom is stuck behind the starter motor. Went to plan B .. added an extra wire connecting to the loom that goes into the car and connected to the sensor.. success.. It was almost done.. had the car...

Hi. Thanks for the replys. Yes. I just need to change that part of the loom in the engine and change the coilpack housing from the MHA. Probably tomorrow... Yesterday i bleed the clutch and as it was sunny outside took it out from the garage to wash the engine bay. Later, turning the...

    Puma 1.7 VCT from Portugal

Thanks for your reply. As far as i have seen, the cable that came with my MHB engine does not have the conector to the temp sender but just the gray plastic plug to the temp sensor. Today i bleed the clutch and pressure washed the engine bay. Maybe tomorrow i will solve the temp gauge issue.

    Puma 1.7 VCT from Portugal

So .. My Puma had some progress made today. Radiator fitted, a few other bits and bolts. It ran quite good until it reached the termperature to start the cooling fan. Everything looked fine. Heater inside blows hot air. So the Heater control valve should be ok. This 40 quid engine has already...

My Puma 1.7, more than a year on (A works in progress)

Yes. But just for taking apart. And with a lot of RHD specific parts and probably some rusty panels. Not so worthy really. The thing is ... what is hard and expensive to get here is the powertrain. And a pallet from UK to PT is not so expensive. So i am now waiting an engine from uk to get...

My Puma 1.7, more than a year on (A works in progress)

Well ... For now over here we can get cheap parts from 1.4's . 1.7 specific items are a totally diferent story ...

Nice job on that steering wheel. Sadly mine is beyond that state but i am trying to find a better one even if it needs some work. With that process it looks good as new.

    Puma 1.7 VCT from Portugal

While the engine is on its way i am having a few people over here recomending the swap for a 2.0 Zetec from a Mondeo I think it's the Silver Top. Over here, swaps are a bit of a problem because os police operations and MOT's But what could be the changes necessary to fit this engine? Does...

    Puma 1.7 VCT from Portugal

That's what i suspected. At the price that 1.7 Engines are beeing sold @ UK i will probably get one or two more. This remembers me the issue i had in the past with the 1.3 TU2J2 engine from the 106 Rallye. The liners are crazy espensive and very rare to find. So the option was to go for a 1.6...
