The plastics on my Puma are pretty solid and tight and removing airbags would be a bit extreme for me, safety first lol. I need to stash a couple rollies worth when I have to work away so I can go to my parked up car before everyone goes sleep.
We share cars instead of all driving so I'll have...
:-)
So far the best place I've found is that little flap in the drivers side foot well under the mat, but I don't want too lose a few quid under the carpet.
Luckily I've never seen dogs on spot checks around here but I have told me my air freshener has a "funny smell" before lol.
I expected there to be more female owners, so many people tell me its a hairdressers/womans car.. Though the ones I have seen on the road my way have all had woman drivers.
I'm looking for a compartment that no one would suspect to look in if I ever have to hide anything, preferably inside the car.
my old micra I could lift the hand brake base cover slightly & put a small bag I keep a a couple rolled up notes & change in.
Anyone got one? Just 2 questions if anyone has/knows about this unit.
1. Does it work with all ECUs? pretty sure I have DIVE (2001 puma with 2 sensors)
2. Does it effect the torque limiter in first/second? I don't want be going through clutches, gearboxes, & driveshaft's.
The kit comes with dampers so I don't.know how to go about it really, I assumed the kit had everything I needed.
The kit advises removing 20mm minimum but have seen posts on other forums going both ways about shortening them or not..
I just brought that g-max suspension kit & there is a note about shortening bump stops, err I didn't even know what a bump stop was before I asked google lol.
I'd rather buy a pair at the right size to fit rather the cutting the old ones down. I'm not a mechanic/DIY guy but with the help of...
I thought under the sale of goods act there is a 3 month warranty in place from traders anyway?
again getting them to pay up is another story as they put most things down as general wear & tear
you legend, thanks.
I'm getting the cambelt ki/water pump fitted this Friday so its going to be a rush for them to get here. maybe best I go to the dealer anyway
done a google search and had no luck.. There is 3 different kits on ebay but I have no clue which is the right one..
since I am getting the cambelt done this weekend I thought it would be a good idea to change these too...
I got a ford puma the other day with no service history but it looked very clean rush/engine wise (shame about the shocks/bushes/brake discs tho). I drove it around 40 miles to get home, it took about a mile or two to reach half way on the temperature gauge & didn't budge from that even in...
Sorry for the dodgy English I post on my phone.
I got a grand and half to get bushes and shocks done hoping it's all sound after.
Will be funny when I take it garage for its first service in the book at 82k
