Would you sell the bucket seat seperately?

    Autosolo/Autotest/Autocross?

Unless it's in the supplementary regs saying that you need it, then you don't.

    Hydraulic hanbrake on drum brakes

You should be able to fit a hydro with it's own brake master cylinder. It should work completely independant of the other brakes. I've got dodgy old drums and old shoes but my rears lock ok when doing autotests/autosolos. Are you sure there's not something else wrong with your setup like worn...

Fun Autosolo Puma on a budget.

Managed to get my seat fitted a bit better and have replaced my front caliper. Will get it bled properly during the week and fit a new wishbone to the front passenger side. Got another event coming up on the 24th. It's just a club level Autosolo but should be a good laugh. Would love to get...

    HELP! Wrong oil

agreed with everyone. Top it up with whatever you have. It will be fine. The only difference between the 10W and the 5W is the viscosity and essentially the lower operating temperature. The UK has very rarely hit the low temperatures that you'd ever notice the difference. Semi-synthetic and...

    JASAPP

Awesome project and I'll definately keep an eye on this one. One of the comments you said earlier was that the block is the same as the 1.7. Does that mean in theory that the manifold and turbo should line up with the 1.7 block?

Last weekend was the final round of the Scottish Road Car series up at Kames sprint circuit and this one was a bit of a special one as they had some pro drivers there for a pro-am element of the competition. One of the drivers was BTCC racing legend John Clelland. With a load of pro...

Help needed with removing air con / aux belt sqeeks

I don't think you want to be involved with my handy-work. Do you think there would be any advantage to getting a bracket made to bolt to the origital aircon mounting point, with a pulley on it? That way, the original belt could be used. I'm not sure whether its the driving of the...

Looking to do similar so I'll follow this one closely. I want to remove the aircon and keep the PAS too. :)

Prep for Regularity Rally - Suggestions?

Are standard parts from other cars allowed? If not, then basic stuff such as decent discs and pads; make sure your brake fluid is refreshed. Get your alighnment done so that the car runs straight and turns in well.

So I went off to compete in the penultimate round of the Scottish road car series with a freshly fitted mondeo throttle body. The car feels a lot better and seems to pull better from further down the rev range. This is great for low speed corners and getting the acceleration a bit better...

Fun Autosolo Puma on a budget.

So I've done a few jobs over the last week in order to get the car ready for it's next outing at the weekend. First of all I replaced the CV joint as the boot was burst and it was clicking a bit. Not too bad a job once the bolts were free. At the same time I decided to fit the brace bar...

    Engine mounts

Went to fit my lower brace bar and it fouls on the engine. From some reading it seems to be that my engine mounts need looked at. When doing a search, it seems that there are quite a few engine mounts which are all different styles. Can anyone give me a few tips on how to check which ones...
