    European Puma Meet.

As Niels mentioned it is an annual occurrence still and very enjoyable. The number of people showing up is not so large as a decade ago, but still it is sizeable. I think few years ago some Brits joined, but i've seen cars from Belgium, Germany, NL, France etc. there.

    Hello from Bavaria.

Oh I know that feeling of regret. I sold mine in 2013 but about 1,5 year ago I got another one from 2000 with just 92k km's on it. I almost forgot how much fun they are to drive and I really don't understand what I was thinking in selling my first.

    Puma all weather cover

Following this one. I am also looking for a well fitting cover to protect ours but only found a bunch of shady websites so far.

removing a rusted-in lambda sensor (and other bolts)

And then burn yourself on a hot exhaust. Been there done that. Best is to just use a special wrench for it with a cut out. But lots of wd-40, a normal spanner a big hammer, a little bit of anger and mostly patience also does the trick. If your lambda is broken though, why don't you just...

    Deadlocked lockout

Good luck! I once had this happen to me at a festival campsite in Germany. Crawling out of my tent hungover wearing only a boxer short. Imagine having to walk 3km's to a nearby garage and showing up there in your underpants. And then a quad ride with a guy in leathers and me on the back... Past...

    Workshop manual?

Let me have a look later this week. Next few evenings I'll be busy. Hopefully next week I can have a go to convert my 6516-Generic VCI to a Ford one. Otherwise I'll use another brands' and see if I can convert it. If it works I will post a manual. On eBay the VCM-2 prices are going through the...

    Workshop manual?

At work we investigated running diagnostic tools in Hyper-V for automated testing on vehicles. Many official tools won't work due to two issues. The HW ID and Usb Rndis devices (VCI's). Only VMWare is an option for us. Virtualbox is also quite good and free to use :-)

    Workshop manual?

Yes it is. But for this purpose (TIS and IDS) I have a very old laptop with Windows XP that I keep running. As it's so old it doesn't matter if it gets damaged or dirty whilst working in the garage.

    Workshop manual?

Here you may download the original Ford TIS disk image. Unfortunately it needs to run under a Win7 Virtual Machine. Let me know if you'd like to have the full image, but be aware it'll be a huge download. Your welcome. PS: If you need Ford IDS let me also know :)

    Airbag module diagnostics

A long time no update but I've been quite busy, little time to spend on the Puma. I have now a total of five airbag modules and none seem to work. I verified with Ford the serialno. that should be in, the AD, and I have the exact same. They look okay on the inside too; nothing burnt through or...

    TopGear Magazine - Puma photoshoot

Mine is still fully standard with only 90k km and an interesting history. However I am not exactly local so would ask for at least the ferry costs.

    Water outlet + thermostat assembly

Wasn't there also a steel version done for a Focus or something? On my old red Puma I replaced it once. But that was like a decade ago, can't remember what was the donor car.

    Workshop manual?

I can also help you to the original Ford TIS manual. I only runs on old windows versions, so you need a VM. Alternatively check this website...

    Jack mounting

It should work if you have the right screw. It's a bit fiddly though. Because of that many of the nuts in the cars have been destroyed. Try and see if the screw still fits without the jack first.
