My Puma 1.7, more than a year on (A works in progress)

Hi mate, just catching up, that's the manifold and inlet manifold done, still waiting for the welder to get back to me, however I'm going to start looking around for someone else, as I've done all I can for now. I'll keep you updated.

Hi Barry,
Got the tooling for the lambda sensor, used the ring spanner and my body weight to get it of, the soaking must have done the trick, did you have you use any special heat wrap on the wires, to protect them, ?

My Puma 1.7, more than a year on (A works in progress)

Hi Barry, I've ordered the lambda tool you mentioned and a ring spanner, I've been soaking the sensor for the last few days, I'll let you know how I get on when the tooling arrives, Thanks for the offer, but I'd be scared incase I broke it. On the Tyre issue, at some point I'll need to get four new ...

Hi Barry, do you happen to have the lambda sensor on your new parts car, for the love of god mine won't shift , even with a hammer, it's not for moving, unless it's on a reverse thread. Lol.
The new tyres fill the arches well.

My Puma 1.7, more than a year on (A works in progress)

Hi Barry, I had the same issues with the wishbone bolts, and had to cut mine out, can't remember if I put copper slip on them, so I'll check . On a positive note, I fitted the exhaust manifold at the weekend. Sadly no man hole, jacked the car up as high as I could, undone the gear box mount but stru...

Hi Barry, good job with the mot, how are the recaro's, have you noticed a big difference when driving. The reason I'm asking is, I've got the std leather seats, but I think the recaro's look alot better.
I think I may start looking for a set., .. good to see the progress, keep up the outstanding work.

Hi mate, when I had the interior out, and remember when James found the rust, I had a look inside the wheel arch and deep down in the inner sills, It was clean and rust free, however I will have another look, best to do it right first time. How you getting on with the suspension, I suspect I'll go d...

Hi Barry, I've not thought about the sills, if memory serves me well, it was the inner sill at the rear, where the hand brake cable is secured, that was rusty, the outer sills i'm sure where OK, I'll have a look the next time I go for a visit, but if they need done I'll get them done, in to deep to ...

Hi Barry, your an inspiration to us all, I prefer the recaro seats to the frp seats, but couldn't be bothered with all the extra work. So I may stick to the black leather set I have sitting in my garage, next to the frp wheels, but no car at the moment to put them on, ha ha, thank god I'm in no rush...

Door weather strip

Hi mate, the part number is correct, but the part inside is wrong, the date on the label is June 2015, so looks like a return item, one end of the bag is open , so I'm guessing that's why I've got the wrong part, I can't test it for fitting as I've not got the car back yet. I've sent a email to them...

Door weather strip

Hi folks,
Does anybody know the correct part number for the Door weather strip, I thought it was 1068402, as mentioned on this site, however I made the mistake of ordering this part without checking the part number, the one I received is chrome and not black.
