Bit of a tricky one - car cutting out whist driving
The coil packs are known to break down , but start with Spark Plugs and a new set of leads Coil pack replacement appears to be missing from the list of things which have been done. This would be my next step. On the overall scheme of things the cost of a new coil pack is not a lot and is an easy jo...

Nice one Barry.

I was at Doncaster classic car and bike show yesterday with the mini, there were literally hundreds of cars, loads of Fords of all ages but not one Puma

Looks like a nice job on the door handle mate. Does the colour match up OK? It's hard to tell from the pic.

I have for sale a selection of Puma parts which I removed from a '99 Puma 1.7 which had covered 74k miles and was a good runner before suffering too much bodywork damage in a spin off. Was going to ebay these but thought I'd put them up here first.... TAPE ECU with transponder ring and keys £50 Inle...

Hi Barry, I assume you mean without the spring, so shock absorber extended to its full travel?
I have some new ones in the garage. I will get some measurements later.
On a similar note, has anyone got a couple of old rear spring top plates kicking around? (Not the top mounts, the top spring seats)

Hi all my fellow puma owners!
362163 Hi Lewis Good luck with the Eibachs as I think they may be out of production and like hens teeth. Barry Quite a few sellers advertising these kits new on ebay but don't click and buy, you will most likely have to go through the hassle of getting your money back. The sellers don't stock them,...

Yes, be careful on those tyres. they're brilliant in the dry but can be a bit twitchy if you push too hard in this weather.

This makes a lot of sense.
I assume having an intake plenum like the FRP makes the resonator do nothing, removed by Tickford as part of the engine mods?

Changing a coil pack
Very easy if you have the right tools.
I think it's an 8mm hex socket for the 4 mounting bolts. You'll need an extension bar, there's a couple of tricky ones.
Apart from that it's just unplugging the HT leads (remember where they go) and the coil pack connector.
