My Puma (formally pictures at last)

Hi. It has been some time since l did an update. My Puma is once again looking pristine. The second week of November it went into the spray shop and had both sides resprayed, making good the cosmetic damage from the hit and run, stone chips, and supermarket door bashers. Back in the summer l had the...

At what cost??

Hi. I have had my Puma for fourteen years and I will never get rid of it. This year I spent £1360 on MOT which included welding, bespoke cat, handbrake cables, rear brakes and lambda sensor. I have just spent £725 on spray work to restore the body to its former glory. I will be adding a post with mo...

Photo Bucket

Hi,
Is there any free site that is an alternative to photo bucket that can be used for posting photos on to Project Puma site. I have only ever used photo bucket for this site only, so the number of photos does not warrant a continuous monthly fee.

Richard

Highest mileage Puma?

Hi, Mine has done 132k it still runs smooth and pulls well. However some of the horses must have left the stable by now, I would imagine they must have got away due to vale deterioration. I want to fit a modified head in the future for two reasons, the standard head must be coming up for a referb to...

Front nearside wing.

Hi
I am after the above. I know this a big ask but one without rust or only treatable surface rust.

Richard.

My Puma (formally pictures at last)

Hi All. It has been some time since I have posted an update. Well its all been happening and it is not good I can tell you. Some of you may have read my post in Puma area regarding my £1300 MOT. Well a few weeks back I had the mishap of a hit and run resulting in smashed drivers mirror and cosmetic ...

P reg puma decisions

Hi,
Sorry I missed the colour. I am only after another Puma in the right colour and low milage to tuck away for future spares due to the fact that parts in the future will be nigh on impossible to get hold of.

The £1300 MOT, can any one beat that.

Hi, XAF I think spending money is an occupational hazard of owning a Puma that is getting a bit long in the tooth. It catches up with all car owners eventually. Then it becomes a question of scrap and save. I can understand that attitude with the bulk of nondescript bland cars that are on our roads ...

The £1300 MOT, can any one beat that.

HI, Many of you out there will think I am mad. Well events over took me on this one. I decided before the MOT was due I would be proactive so two months before the due date I started to check the Puma over, after all it is getting old and the mileage is now up to 130k. The first thing I found was ro...

My Puma (formally pictures at last)

Hi Sorry for the late response. I got it to work in the end by taking the drums on and off adjusting the brakes manually by trial and error. I have since found out speaking to a couple of mechanics that the self adjust system does not work that well. One gave a top tip which was in addition to manua...

Hi

Thanks for that. I have tried it once I will give it another go. I must admit I did not do it with the engine running. I have adjusted them up manually and have about 50% handbrake at the moment.

Richard

My Puma (formally pictures at last)

Hi. I have the dreaded mot due in a couple of months. So l thought as my Puma is getting older and the mileage is now creeping up it would be prudent to start preparation. I have found a small hole in the rear of the drivers sill at the bottom of the wheel arch. I have it booked in for welding. I ne...

Dip beam bulbs suddenly gone very dim

Hi, Thanks for you replies. I have sorted it. I removed the headlights every thing was in order I then swapped the bulbs round after that they were all working correctly. There was no sign of loose wiring or ill fitting plugs. What threw me was the fact that it was two bulbs at once. Once again thank...

Hi, Just a quick update. I replaced the bushes last Saturday I followed the how to do guide. However I did not have to unbolt the hand brake cables or touch the exhaust. The nut on one bush bolt had seized despite a course of derusting fluid applied regularly over a course of a week prior to doing t...

Hi,

Thanks.

I spoke to soon I have had an annoying knocking from the rear nearside whilst driving over bad roads. I discovered to day it is a rear bush. I have ordered a pair of Ford bushes. All I need to do now is to get a bush removal/refitting tool. A job for next weekend.

Regards,
Richard.
