Need help in identifying this leak.

367205 UPDATE: :-( Ever since the housing has been replaced, day by day, the car's temp gauge started behaving more and more erratically. More specifically, ever since the coolant escaped during the job and was later refilled. ;) I've read this entire thread and your problem is still down to airloc...

The £650 Puma

It's only a bad car park prang, not a death in the family. There's nothing there that can't be fixed if James wants to.

The £650 Puma

367002 and its all down the the insurance toads now. :-( Leaving aside the usual gag of 'Nothing that will not polish out with T Cut', you leave that to the insurance toads and that motor will be written off for sure. Just a new nearside headlight unit is over £200 and the book price on that motor ...

Noisy Water Pump

366968 ,so that is my reason to not get the cambelt done Unless you do the job yourself or have a good existing relationship with your garage, then you may well have trouble finding a garage to do just the water pump if Ford says different. It's just how the world, not just garages, works. 1st, 2nd...

The same applies to any 15 - 20 year old car, so whatever you look at then get it checked over first.

Do I need a waxing!

366264 waxoyl the underneath. He says it is preferable to Schultz because it allows any rust to breathe rather than trapping it under the sealing agent He is wrong then. To do that, Waxoyl would need to be microporous and it's not and you only have to look at what's in it to see that. The self heal...

Fitted new battery - now it wont start

366223 Hopefully sorted it! The fuse had blown; replaced it and started first twist  Just hoping... Good. :-) However, fuses don't blow because they just feel like it, it's a cause = effect type thing and if you just rely on hope then further down the line you'll likely be looking at fitting ...

Fitted new battery - now it wont start

366207 I remember when I first turned the key after fitting the battery, the engine just started for a split second and then after that, This and the other symptoms suggest a blown fuse as likely. Certainly, that would be the best place to start looking. Incidentally, fuses don't have to be removed...

Ford Puma 1.7 from 1998 European Emission Standard

366151 However, having said it is 1998. model almost certainly it is Euro2 model... Nope, it would state that is was a Euro 2 model, because unless they were doing a 'Back To the Future' thing then they would have no way of knowing the future standards/legislation on anything. That's why I didn't m...

Ford Puma 1.7 from 1998 European Emission Standard

You can also point out to them that the EU has always accepted the principle whereby with retrospective legislation it is not always possible to provide contemporaneous official documentation for information that was not required prior to that legislation, i.e. there is no 'Catch 22 situation' and l...

365161 You seem to be making progress, but re-reading your posts, have you measured the voltage drop between the battery +ve and the terminal for the solenoid coil with a known load ? If you connected a headlamp bulb (55W )instead of the solenoid and turned the ignition switch to the "Start&qu...

365123 I am not complaining, I am just curious if it is the same for everyone using an Android device or just my set up (I have tried the 8 Android devices that I usually use and they all react the same). Hi Red,

Your SSL cert expired?

Some people are going to get a 'non'secure' site warning in their anti-virus or browser, but with browsers in the Firefox family all access would be site blocked by default, unless the user adds an exception.
