Bucket Seat Mounting

For the moment I think I'll make an extension rearwards on the sparco subframe so I can hardmount the seats without runners. Should be the easiest way to get a nice fit.

Bucket seat fitment

Hi, I'm thinking of mounting a bucket seat for the drivers' seat. I'd keep the R100 I have for passenger side. I have Sparco subframes. Sparco subframe + runners + bottom mounted R100 sits higher than I want it to be. Looking for measurements is not easy and might be different once I'd try to fit it...

Bucket Seat Mounting

Thanks for that Brian. Those indeed looks to be sitting really nice and low. I might look into modifying the standard frame for the drivers seat atleast. Been tempted to get a bucket seat for the drivers seat anyway and in that case I think it would be possible to get enough adjustability anyway wit...

Bucket Seat Mounting

Starting looking for measurements and concluded that side mounted seats would probably work really nicely to sit low again - also feeling stupid that I just didn't google side mount vs bottom mount etc. :) Will probably keep my driver side with the modified standard frame for now and look into a sid...

Bucket Seat Mounting

I have ordered sparco subframes and mounted the passenger side with the subframes + runners + sparco R100. Like that it's noticeably higher than original and definitely higher than I want them, also the far backward position is not as far back as I'd like it. For a passenger side I think it does the...

FRP Sparco pretensioners & mounts

I received my sparco subframe today - with the pretensioner mount as in the above pictures - but for me those doesn't fit at all - the "guide bolt" and the hole that should fit the torx needs to be the other way for me, they also don't line up as they should... is it just different for different yea...

What a drag.

Well I would imagine drag wise it's better to maybe keep the tray even if wheel is removed. Ideally you would maybe remove the tray as well and make your own flat floor to replace it. I thought I had the tray left on mine but now when checking I realise I don't have it - and it really is quite a big...

362225 362007 I'm sorry to bother but looking for some help regarding the Turini 16"s. What is the offset of the ones you have? I'm finding that the recommended for the Puma on 16s are between 34 and 38. Meanwhile I can only find Turini's with either 28 or 42. :/ Hi, wasn't ignoring your Q just had...

First racing experience with the Puma!

358943 I like the (main) lights effect and front splitter! Very later answer, but thanks! I can undertand some not liking the lights, but I like them and also mainly did it as they were in bad condition, so just an easy way to restore them. And could not not have the splitter anymore, looks great i...

First racing experience with the Puma!

Hello! I've owned the puma from half a year before I got my driver's licence and after owning it for 2 years improving and modding the car I participated in this local club event for European Fords! Here's my Puma's Project thread: http://www.projectpuma.com/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=26304 In the event t...

Re: 1.7 track car project

not been on here for nearly a year and the car has undergone so many changes and done so many track day since...in answer to your question HampusSoder I think its a combination of things - the 421 makes the car rev much freer - the polybushes make is much tighter and the coilovers give it a planted...

Re: Aero improvements

Aero mods are often more show than go. I have seen some huge diffusers, canards in the wrong place and `evo` style spoilers which would just sap power on any straight. Not that there are not improvements to be made. I have a track car which gets regular outings with different mods. A splitter is a ...

Re: Aero improvements

Personally I think all the splitters, holes and spoilers make a tiny if any difference and in some cases could actually slow the car down. They just don't go fast enough to need all the fancy aero bits. If you've got the best suspension, best tyres etc then it might be worth the effort but IMHO the...

Aero improvements

Hello! I've started to become more interested in improving the aeoro of my puma! I already have a front splitter that will hopefully be fitted next week! :) I know the basics of a splitter, it creates a low pressure which forces the air under the car and forcing the front down. Thanks to Sjoerds aer...

Re: 1.7 track car project

Sorry for jumping into the thread.. :-)

On your videos the car does indeed seem quite planted! What mod would you say does the most difference? My guess would be splitter. Also, the holes in the bumper, do you notice a difference in drag?

Car looks awesome btw! 8-)

Actually, like the additional lights. So out of place there that they actually fit, if you understand what I am trying to say! They do stick out a bit. They are more for practicality than cosmetics tho, gets pretty dark where I live and because of all the reindeers it's nice to actually be a...

Re: First car: Project Puma

Headlights were in bad condition inside out. Could have put time in opening and washing inside but decided to solve it differently! Painted the headlights with black matte spray where it was possible. https://i.gyazo.com/05066f6e1f395f10f8d6ac00f0c24bd8.jpg The rest is polished as good as possible.

Hello! So I am looking for the external lights specifically made for the Puma. Is it possible to find these somewhere to buy?
