Help, clutch clip

It just looks like a spring clip? Not sure where you are but there is a chain of shops called J.R Websters, there is one near me, they are good for stuff like that.

Less than 6000 left in the UK

I remember when i had my original puma you could get an FRP for <£5000. Your looking at 3 times that now, if you can even find one.

Puma always felt like a car that didn't get the recognition it deserved in its own time, maybe one day it will be seen as a lost classic.

Less than 6000 left in the UK

Did a search on howmanyleft, and by my count there are less than 6000 left. Drop over the last couple of years has been massive. They're getting to the point were the only people likely to have them are enthusiasts.

Low mileage cars make me wonder if these cars are used for a lot of short journeys. I know a low mileage looks appealing, but I thought that repeated short trips weren't good for an engine? Not giving the engine time to warm up properly etc. Especially if occurring on a regular basis? Not to say th...

There are cars that come alone and sometimes they just don't quite connect with the public despite being good cars. The original corrado and scirocco come to mind. I think this is still the case with the puma, too many of the jeremey Clarkson crowd still think of it as a hairdressers/girls car. The ...

Rust-be-gone... for now.

Had the rust around the arches and sills treated on the car. Been fiberglass'd so now it smells like a TVR inside. Hoping it lasts a long time if I keep on top of it. Had to have a bit of welding done at the bottom of the wings too. Before DSC_2368.JPG After DSC_2377 (1).JPG Its not, and probably ne...

Vpower / MPG discussion

Just to drag an old topic up, I saw this on youtube the other day.

The crux of it is, according to their test Vpower gave 5hp or so more than the worst fuel tested (Asda). They seemed dissapointed by this but 5hp seemed like a lot to me.

140mph in a Puma?

I think downhill, with the wind behind it, only 1 person in it, not much fuel, then maybe? I'm reminded of the train driver from Back to the future part 3, where they ask him if it would be possible to go 90mph in the train. Engineer (Bill McKinney): "How fast can she go? Why, I've had her up to 55,...

368679 Maybe you could try setting up a monthly meet in your locale? It's more effort than most folk can be doing with I expect which is why there aren't many, it also feels like a personal kick in the teeth if no one shows up, so you have to be able to rise above that and try again next time. I th...
