Racing Puma Bodykit

I have seen mentioned/advertised on here in the past a fibre glass racing puma body kit, does anyone have one they either never got round to fitting or removed it from their car before it went to its grave. I would be interested to hear from anyone that might be able to help and see if a deal can be...

Vct problem, cuts injection at 3.5/4K rpm

I agree with DOH. Coil pack and leads, it’s struggling under high load. Coil packs are often unnecessarily changed by many, due to them not having the knowledge to test and diagnose them properly. The Puma Coil Pack have been known to last well in excess of 180k miles. It is for that reason I didn'...

I swapped out my “dive” ecu for an “FRP” one. I think I still have it stored in garage if you are interested? It has 2 transponder chips as well so would fit straight in and just put the transponders in your keys ...... come to think of it I also have a std mapped “tape” as well.

New Headlight Rubbers

I wanted a set ages ago but didn’t get round to doing anything about it, but as my project is nearing completion I am looking for a set if available as they will add the finishing touch to my newly sanded and polished lights.
I have still got your payment details if you have any sets left.
Thank you

Nooooooooo!! Don’t strip it back after all the work you have done, You can still take it round the track on track days etc. Buy another less clean car and turn that into a track weapon instead that way you get at nice drivable road car and can also create a missile for the track

Being hyper critical  in my opinion the only thing letting the engine bay down are the power steering and brake fluid bottles as they are a bit grubby. I know I am going to be shot down in flames as this car is truly stunning and something I can only dream of obtaining but it just jumped out o...

You can buy a leather dye kit and dye them black which is quite straight forward. I think it was Barry that did it in his project thread, I just copied the idea off him when I got a millennium interior for mine.

Good luck with trying to find the seats, pretty scarce now I would think.

That’s just an example of a head gasket kit and what you get - I tend to watch out and see when you can drop on a good deal for FAI. Sure I paid about £50 for a set a while back, got Barry one too  I think I got that said deal, they were about 60% to 70% off. So I bought 2 sets.....just in case

FAI, Elring or Adjusa are fine, others I can’t comment on Sorry XAF, but I have tried the FAI Rocker gasket it doesn't fit the cover properly around the inner loop of the cover (that is supposed to protect the spark plugs from oil), so avoid. He does say to junk the cam cover gasket and only use ge...

NEEDING HELP PLEASE

Hmm the information from the garage isn’t particularly reassuring (a gasket was never used it’s was just silicone sealant), not sure why you would automatically need a sump. I would do as Red said drain oil and remove and refit sump also worth checking the oil drain plug is sealing correctly. Where ...

You are to be credited for doing such a thorough job and preserving a Puma for a good numbers of years yet. Did you find much rot in the body shell or was it pretty clean!

Hi

Ford still sell them, but not cheap. 1127373 is the part no - around £195 Bugger that I refused to pay that, it’s a crazy price!! I spoke to a Pirtek franchise local to me and they have managed to do a permanent repair that works beautifully (did it while I waited, was out of there in 50 minutes) an...

Maybe the Puma gods are trying to tell you something............quick cancel the eBay listing whilst you still have a chance. I am with Barry, change back to a standard throttle body, or it might potentially be worth looking at getting the ecu remapped, you have after all fitted improved air intake ...
