Autosolo you need full interior.
Unless it's in the supplementary regs saying that you need it, then you don't.

Fun Autosolo Puma on a budget.

Managed to get my seat fitted a bit better and have replaced my front caliper. Will get it bled properly during the week and fit a new wishbone to the front passenger side. Got another event coming up on the 24th. It's just a club level Autosolo but should be a good laugh. Would love to get the susp...

JASAPP

Awesome project and I'll definately keep an eye on this one.

One of the comments you said earlier was that the block is the same as the 1.7. Does that mean in theory that the manifold and turbo should line up with the 1.7 block?

Fun Autosolo Puma on a budget.

Last weekend was the final round of the Scottish Road Car series up at Kames sprint circuit and this one was a bit of a special one as they had some pro drivers there for a pro-am element of the competition. One of the drivers was BTCC racing legend John Clelland. With a load of pro drivers, Kames u...

Prep for Regularity Rally - Suggestions?

Are standard parts from other cars allowed?

If not, then basic stuff such as decent discs and pads; make sure your brake fluid is refreshed.
Get your alighnment done so that the car runs straight and turns in well.

Fun Autosolo Puma on a budget.

So I went off to compete in the penultimate round of the Scottish road car series with a freshly fitted mondeo throttle body. The car feels a lot better and seems to pull better from further down the rev range. This is great for low speed corners and getting the acceleration a bit better. The event ...

Fun Autosolo Puma on a budget.

So I've done a few jobs over the last week in order to get the car ready for it's next outing at the weekend. First of all I replaced the CV joint as the boot was burst and it was clicking a bit. Not too bad a job once the bolts were free. At the same time I decided to fit the brace bar anyway and j...

Fun Autosolo Puma on a budget.

Hello G bob. Like the project car.. The coilovers you have bought might just be for a MK6 Fiesta. Some sellers called mk5 a mk4 (as they are mechanically identical) Check the item listing for what year the suspension is to fit.. Good luck with the Autosolo`s, can`t wait to hear about your first win...

Fun Autosolo Puma on a budget.

There are two kinds: early Puma's/Fiesta's (untill '99 I think) and the later ones. Depending on the year your Puma is from, you'll probably need an younger/older version. Maybe contact your supplier with this question? I thought the only difference between them was the fork mount or the eye mount?

Fun Autosolo Puma on a budget.

Well that's dissapointing. :-( The coilovers have arrived but I think they are the wrong kind. The rears look at if they are separate spring/shock units. According to the the site they fit the mk5 fiesta and therefore should fit, but either there's something I'm missing, or there were multiple confi...

Good luck with it and well done at the event, oh and if your car is a later 2 lambda sensor one you can get some more speed out of it by removing the torque limiters in the lower gears. Have a search on here as it involves something like disconnecting the speedo or speed sensor. Thanks. Yeah, I've ...

Fun Autosolo Puma on a budget.

I promised myself that I wouldn't spend a lot of money on this car but I got a few bargains. lol Found a company in Germany selling FK AK Street coilovers very cheaply so bought them and now I've just found a Mondeo 2.0 throttle body to put on. Hopefully will get all of those fitted before the next ...

Have a look, when you get the chance, on the rim where it goes into the spokes, there are some blocks cast into the rim along with the make of the wheels.
Just been out for a look and they are BSA's. Mine are 15" rather than 17" like yours though.

Your wheels look like mine, are they BSA's? If they are they are only the second set I've ever seen including mine and if you are missing one of the centre caps I have 3 available. Barry I have absolutely no idea what they are tbh  The guy who gave them to me found them in his garage when he m...

Fun Autosolo Puma on a budget.

So my first event in the "Bawzoot" Puma was yesterday at the Scottish Road Car series. It's basically a new Autosolo championship being trialled this year across a lot of the bigger clubs in Scotland. I hadn't really driven the car in anger yet so this was a bit of an unknown as to how this would go...

Thought I’d start a thread to keep all my puma stuff in rather than just posting random threads about stuff. So the car started like this: https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/40685073_1875821185837636_8620558318705836032_n.jpg?_nc_cat=111&oh=72a05e151aa20a6994806fa5b3a0e448&oe=5C198696 It’...

Hi from me - Just got one.

So it had its first outing in competition yesterday and it surprised a LOT of people. The gymkhana driver that's going to the world championships in South Africa was shocked how hard he had to push to beat a standard £500 puma in his purpose built stripped out monster. Ended up coming 2nd in front o...

Hi from me - Just got one.

Went to fit my lower brace the other day and it's catching on the engine. A quick search has turned up that my engine mounts must be on the way out. Got my bucket seat fitted but will have to adjust it slightly. I had an old set of 15" alloys in the garage that I got for free and it turns out they f...

Autosolo/Autotest/Autocross?

Hi there. Does anyone autotest or autosolo their puma? I’ve done quite a bit of Autosolo in other cars but they’ve mostly been rearwheel drive. Are there any modifications that you think are worthwhile doing to make the car more agile around the cones? I've stripped out rear seats and I have a front...

Thanks.

So I read the threads linked above, and decided to bite the bullet and just get a lower front brace as I found them on sale. Arrives on Friday and I should get it fitted for the next round of the scottish road car series on the 22nd.

Yeah I've been looking at a lower strut brace and also been considering making one. Do they really make that much difference? The wheels will be staying 15" is I don't want to take away from the agility and add weight. So far this evening I've got the back seats out, the resonator removed and I've d...

Hi from me - Just got one.

Good afternoon. Just got myself a cheap 1.7 puma today. Using it to go and play at autosolos while I’m building my kit car. I don’t want to spend much money on the car but anything I can do that’s relatively cheap or free I’ll be doing. The car is a Y reg and has some sort of aftermarket fiesta exha...
