Puma running rough?

I didn't think the actual block had anything to do with aircon setup but I could be wrong?

There were definitely different blocks throughout production and different ECUs but it was my understanding (never tested) that you could do a like for like swap of the actual engine

I saw someone mentioning these the other day, no idea what they are like but the reviews seem fairly good.

P reg puma decisions

I don't think that's the case, most restorations at the present time come as a labour of love, the owners know that they probably won't end up selling or more importantly recouping the costs. Things you need to weigh up is, what needs doing to get it to an excellent standard, how much will that then...

1.7 big oil comsuption ... engine rebuild necessary ????

It could also be the valve stem oil seals?

I'm not sure about the piston rings as I've never had anything to do with them but people that may know are Wild E or Chris from Allison Automotive.

I'm not sure I'd want to start using different oil.

Battery draining problem

Hi Bea, welcome to the site! Maybe open the rear seat up and see if the boot light stays on after you close the hatch? Days gone by the boot light has been a cause of battery drain, so I'd start there before looking at anything more complicated. Else it could be many things, some of the circuitry el...

Ford Puma 1.7 2001 53640miles Silver

It's worth what someone will be wiling to pay for it. Excellent is a subjective word, there's minimal description of the car, no mention of service history, number of keys, tyre condition etc.

On the current information I'd say £700

Retrofitting recaro seats **HERE WE GO AGAIN**

Yes, twin airbags here is referring to having one on the steering wheel and one above the glovebox.

I expect the module model doesn't reflect whether it was set for 1 or 2 airbags setup, but this is just a guess.
