Fairly sure but you should check but I dont think any other lights come on with the boot open, maybe fit a small switch inline with the light so you could manually turn it off rather than removing a fuse? The fuse which likely controls that is in the internal fusebox on the bottom row, a red 10A but...

Hi Brian, Welcome along to Puma ownership! Yes charging a phone from the 12V power supply is normal :grin: It's not normal that your Puma does not have one, I imagine the wiring is already there since it would have had one originally!!
