I have to be honest here and say Dave is taking care of those for me because he said he knows how and where to get them made etc.

All the Lotus conversions usually use cable shift too so it's not uncommon. I've given him the standard FRS gearstick and cables so he can get the right ends to sort it.

My Puma.. Maximum Track Attack!!

It has crossed my mind but on the odd occasion I do use the car on the road a heater is a nice luxury I'm not really prepared to go without. I am looking at some motorsport style light weight heaters though. Deffo think I need a roof scoop or some side vents though as a way of getting cool air into...

Shell has sold now - without bumpers for the moment. Anyway.. finally got some progress. Car is pretty much stripped and finally went to DJM on Tuesday. Picked up a dummy engine a while ago for them to use and mount in the back together with my gearbox. http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j313/moondus...

My Aubergine shell

As per my post in my project thread. The aubergine shell is now £50 including bumpers. Need gone asap now.

It's in Gatwick.

Pic is in my project thread, can get others if required.

It's converted for cable shift for MTX boxes but could be adapted back.

My Puma 1.7, more than a year on (A works in progress)

Nice brackets there Barry.

I have found the same with my new silver one.. rust at the back, sills etc. Not much at the front. Various small holes in the floor.

Wow Ben! That is really something. Just was thinking about your project the other day and how a Jag V6 might suit it  If I hadn't invested so much time and money into the Mk1 FRS engine I may have gone a different route, but it will still more more than sufficient and it's standard mounting p...

Hi Stu,

Perhaps you could do away with the roll bar all together to save yet more weight.

The anti-roll can be built into the spring rates. Depending on the lb rating of the springs you're running it may not be doing anything anyway.

Damp Garage

This may help - I'm not sure.. Dan has a timber frame garage, which we insulated - walls and ceiling. Floor is concrete, painted. The door is a Hormann insulated sectional door with seals. In the winter we run a dehumidifier 24/7. The end result - we keep bare sheet metal in there that does not rust...

Hi Ben The power steering will be too much without an engine to weigh it down, you'll get the full feel of the road without it and less to go wrong (look at the length of hoses you'd need). Barry I was thinking I would have to slow the pump down somehow - bigger pulley maybe, but its already quite ...

Sorry chaps I missed this. Mar is autocorrect for mdf!! Not sure about MDF to be honest - it's quite heavy! I need it to be as light as possible around the engine. 358728 Ben, just seen the number plate of your donor Puma. It's not from the Car People in Yorkshire originally is it? Bit too late to the party here... but

Can't understand why you had so many problems. I used an M16 x 1.5 AN6 Adaptor into mine, wound it all the way down with some Loctite 5400 thread sealant. Never had any problems :?

Here's where I'm at, with a little more progress on the Silver one. Seats and carpet out. Started poking around with the screwdriver and there are several holes, I'm not surprised mind, worst of it is round the rear arches and rear sills which is normal. The areas on the floor are normal too, it's w...

Congrats on the house buying though :ok:

Good luck with catching the Frenchies. It's a tall order without more power but I hope you do it.
