We've moved.

 Keep up the good work Matt, much appreciated as always :ok:

EDIT: - Just noticed signature pictures showing big red X. Anything I need to do to help or should I just change my signature?

140mph in a Puma?

Had 127mph on my sat nav once, on a public road, & I didn't care if cops saw me. There was faster cars going by me as if I was stationary, including the cops in a 911

I was in Germany on one of my Nurburgring trips & was clearing the cobwebs off the Puma

Piece of cake!

Just dug the RX out after being in hibernation since Oct last year. Had it sorned as I wasn't using it & had no need to use it really. Why I keep it I don't know. Anyway, off to MOT today as it actually ran out last month (oops). Decided to take it back to my old Puma MOT station i.e. the local coun...

CoC - Certificate of Conformity WANTED

I had a quick Google of "certificate of conformity for vehicles", this should give you plenty of info & ability to buy said COC from several sources.

THAT Registration Number

Just checked that site. A reg I looked at a couple of years ago has more than halved in price. Shows how optimistic they are in the first instance. They have to try though, as some schmuck might come along & buy it. Also just looked at one & it's listed at £167...seems my tastes aren't as high as th...

Lucky Cat USA Roadtrip

Jealous  I was toying with this a few years back after I'd toured Europe, drive to America & then dump/scrap the Puma there after touring. The plan was far too ambitious for me & that idea was scrapped after I got as far as Russia & couldn't see any real detail in the roads or if it was even p...

Door open light on / alarm going off

^^ what they both said^^ This happened on my bonnet switch but it was simple to move my whole switch assembly to it's correct position with a little pressure. I'd previously dropped/slammed the bonnet shut accidently/incorrectly which pushed the switch down. I will add that mine had a new slam panel...

Thumping noise when turning the wheel

TL:DR - Sounds similar to my car which was also failing CV joints. When one/both (no idea which ones were failing) of the joints went in my Puma it showed by a varying degree of vibration - or thumping if you like - when I accelerated relatively hard, especially when turning a corner/roundabout. I h...

All set for winter

Wish I had the details of who done mine for you. Was a garage in Washington or Sunderland or that area...ooop North anyway  Checked my old Puma costing spreadsheet but no details there. He was brilliant. He fitted the cambelt kit, clutch kit, drop links, wishbones, wheel bearings all round, ARB...

My first Puma

Welcome, car looks nice ;o)

Sounds like it didn't have the standard seats in, but to be honest, I found the standard ones uncomfortable in mine too after long drives. Luckily my enjoyment of the car tended to help me overlook the minor discomfort.

Hope you find your part ;o)

Welcome,

I'm genuinely suprised no one has already welcomed you. Not seen it this quiet.
Plenty here to read if all things Puma (or engine in your case) interests you, that's for sure. :ok:

ABS and traction light on

ABS does a self test at c12mph, you generally hear a weird noise. From memory (someone will correct me), it only occured on mine the first time each day after it had been sat overnight or longer. Your lights coming on may likely be the sign of a faulty or even just a dirty sensor or dirty sensor rin...

Tracing why ABS/TC don't work

Check if it has ABS sensors first to each wheel hub would be my first place to look. If a sensor has failed & the previous owner didn't want to spend the money on them then I guess they had the lights removed to pass an MOT. Could also be the ABS pump & retail they are a big expense v the value of t...

Need track advice (please)!

As you're contemplating getting track tyres I have to assume you're not going to be simply going round to take in the view so brakes are as much a priority as those tyres.Check the condition of your pads & discs (and fluid!). If they are worn & you may need new ones soon anyway I would buy them & ta...

Ford hater

Sounds similar to my story, not a Ford lover either, I also had an Omega that I sold & bought a Puma with the proceeds as a stop gap until I found something I really wanted. Only bought it as it was super cheap. Ended up keeping it for 4 years as it was so fun. Got rid in the end after it's final ye...

Puma 4x4 Cosworth

From the pictures you've shown the spoiler looks sh!te on the car to me. If you could show a view from directly behind the car it may be better but as it looks now it stinks of "oh, I have this spoiler lying about, no idea what it's off, I know, I'll stick it on my lovely Puma". I've always like the...
