Fuel tank

The vast majority of the aftermarket tanks don’t have the same shape swirl pot inside, and the sender unit gets caught so be very careful that what you buy will work.

I’m sad enough to know the part numbers off by heart....

1068402 and 1068404

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 2863346493

Sadly I think the 1068402 is now no longer available

Puma 1.7 Rebuild Mk II

At the risk of being controversial, is it worth taking it to a specialist? J sounds like he knows how to spanner, but not sure he totally understands all the workings of a Puma and the various little quirks they have, especially on a modified one... just a thought.

Brand New Recaro Pre-Tensioners

Having cleared through my pile of spares I’ve come across a pair of brand new genuine Ford seatbelt pre-tension era for Puma’s with the Recaro interiors.

They retail at over £100 each of you can still get them. £150 for the pair including delivery.

If it’s blowing fuses, it’s the pump 100%.

You can do a quick and temporary bodge which worked on mine and that was to put a 30 amp fuse in. It was enough to get the car to the garage and drop the tank. I can’t say I recommend it though as there could be unintended consequences!

I’d agree, I’d try and get the pipe repaired in the first instance, it’s only a metal tube that’s corroded.....

Ooh, wonder if he saw it at Pot House Barry. Either that or it’s infamous!

I took the FRP to a show at Newby Hall last Sunday and it was spoilt by the 2 hours it took to get in so didn’t really take any snaps.

Not sure if this will beat it or not as purely word of mouth A mechanic friend knows of an early Puma, possibly a 98, in Scotland that has only ever been out of the garage for its yearly MOT, then back into storage again, seems as though it has never yet reached its first service mileage!! Going di...

Nice one James I though RM's Ex car with 13K would have taken some beating but you've managed to do it. I honestly can't see this one being beaten now.... but you never know. This has to be a trailer Queen now. Barry Maybe not totally trailer queen. The roads are too nice between my house and Denby...

Well yesterday was fun..... We went to the NEC in March to do a show with the FRP and whilst we were there a gentleman came up to me and asked if I knew anyone who wanted to buy a Puma, with 7k on the clock - I hadn't got a purchase approved by the wife but I figured I'd plead forgiveness rather tha...

They are part number 1068402 and 1068404. Last time I tried they were around £61 each and only the passenger side was available. There is one on eBay at the moment - just search 1068404
