Wow, that's steep! I suspect with it being such a late one it could well be a base one that hung around with no A/C. Just a guess mind seeing as there are no pics!!

My Puma 1.7, more than a year on (A works in progress)

360796 Yes! I've just spent an hour or so going through this thread (some great work Barry!) and saw the photo of one. But yes both mine are crushed and it's obviously going to be easier to replace both once I've panel beaten the floor pan back into shape. Do you have the codes by any chance? Sure!...

My Puma 1.7, more than a year on (A works in progress)

360794 I'll have a look back through and double check the panels. Sounds about right though. That's fine as long as the rust isn't horrendous then a small repair is fine, I would imagine most by now would be a little rusty! I'm thinking I may take the majority of the bulkhead panel as it may give m...

New(ish) FRP Owner

360454 Hi all I thought I'd introduce myself. I picked up number 219 about 18 months as I've always love the look and sound of the FRP. When we picked the car up it had just had the rear arches etc done and the wheels had been resprayed but there were quite a few mechanical problems, they are being...

Ben, I know all too well what you are talking about. I even wondered if the floorpan is still obtaineable from Ford, just in case....?

Long gone I'm afraid Sinisa. Tried a few years ago when doing the floor on mine :-(

Good to see it's gone to a good home, #0008 is a lovely one, and it's Paul's fault I bought one and dropped my money down an Imperial Blue drain after a drive in it!!

360267 With another bit of good weather today I managed to make a new brake pipe fixing bracket for the LH side coilover and finish installing the RH side coilover. http://i1299.photobucket.com/albums/ag62/tuonokid/070220173152_zpsaaa5raud.jpg It's funny how clean it looks without a front end Barry...

I'd really like £1350 or something near to that for it as it's a fab car in an excellent condition.

Regards.

Wanting to sell Puma Thunder Silver - 1 owner, 43,000 miles

360132 Hi Dal I think they're just new to the site and just checking in now and again. Hopefully someone will get this car for a good price and look after it so it's another survivor. If it was 150 miles closer I would be taking a look but if I bought it it would have to live on my front lawn :grin...

I was looking at Gumtree today and this made me laugh. I'm not making any 'big point' here, it's just that it didn't merit its own thread and here's as good as any. - https://www.gumtree.com/p/ford/1.7-ford-puma-with-only-48000-miles/1213042579 Only 48,000 genuine miles on a 2001, what could possib...

How are the arches? If it's solid I think you'd get more. If it had full service history too you'd double the £600, hell, I'd be beating down your door!

As it stands though I'd think £600 is cheap

I'd consider myself a Puma parts geek, but other than maybe a cam cover gasket and an inlet gasket at a push I'd say none!!! The headgaskets don't look Puma for sure. Do recognise the good old GM OHC cork cam cover gasket!

Gobsmacked!! Amazing Sinisa, having just had the top end of mine rebuilt this is amazing info. I left the bottom end alone due to the lack of parts. The bearing shells were only available as part of the piston kit. Obviously they are now NLA, and expensive even if you could get hold of them. I do ac...
