Remanufactured OE Spec Steel Brake Lines

For nearly a year now I’ve been working with a large OE brake company to get the four main steel brake lines remanufactured as per original spec, and at last, they are ready!! These aren’t hand formed kunifer or copper, they are the proper original dark green steel pipes bent by machine with perfect...

Ok - what did I miss?!!!

Ah, I can see the complication. To be fair though, if I was in your shoes I’d be getting a little frustrated too. It’s not you who is dragging their heels... That said, I don’t recall you ever being disrespectful. In my experience, aggression in these circumstances is a sign of deflection. There may...

What did I miss over the 1.7 engine rebuild? How come it was deleted and Ed thought he’d offended people? I thought it was great letting us know how involved it was

Holy grail of parts.

Ha. Ha - now where did this post come from?!! :-P Having two Puma’s, and the ever diminishing supply of parts you’ve got to have a hoard, but sorry to say it’s not for sale. It’s taken me too long to build up and should hopefully keep my Puma’s going long into the future! I’ll not go through the ent...

Retrofitting recaro seats **HERE WE GO AGAIN**

Is yours twin airbag?

It’s a bit of an unknown as mine is also an AD, with twin bags and it was a straight plug in.

With the light going off at first, are you sure the plugs/ wiring are all ok? Nothing has been trapped has it?

Hmmmmm plenty of food for thought. I will have a look tonight! Cheers
When Barry did his seats he had the same problem where as mine plugged straight in. The build dates of our cars are not far apart. The only difference was Barry’s is a single bag, mine is twin.

What is yours?

Retrofitting recaro seats **HERE WE GO AGAIN**

There is a cheat that you could consider whilst you work out a permanent solution - unplug the Recaro pre-tensioners and then plug in your old ones, not fitted to the seat but cable tied securely. The car will then think all is ok. If you pull back the carpet on the centre tunnel under the dash, the...

Retrofitting recaro seats **SOLVED**

It’s relativley easy taking a feed from the fusebox to power the height adjuster. And it makes a huge difference to the seating position. But then again I am a short arse!

Fair play Richard, I don’t blame you one bit!

If it makes you feel better, mine is booked in for a new cat, fuel pump and four new tyres plus an MoT so I’m going to be about £600 lighter at least for a car that’s probably not worth a significant amount more!!

Retrofitting recaro seats

I’ve got a September 2000 Puma with the later seats and airbag module, and the Recaro tensioners plugged straight in. Seems some fit, some don’t.

They are the top hats that the Recaros fit on too.

Do you still have the FRP sub frames too to go with the seats?
