Head Light Adjustment - FAILED MOT

Have just been through the new regs for the MOT, no mention of a fail for non working adjusters (of any sort) but.....if aim of dipped beam is incorrect it will fail, so once you have fitted/sorted new adjusters it will pass so long as the aim is correct. If your MOT station is saying otherwise, tak...

Just bought my first Puma!!! :)

Welcome, I am with Ian above regarding suspension, new bushes etc but otherwise leave alone, in standard setup with good tyres etc it will embarass a lot of more modern motors. My Millie has 130,00 on the clock, is 18 years old completely standard apart from poly bushed rear beam and it handles ever...

Head Light Adjustment - FAILED MOT

i would think if the manual adjusters have stripped their threads you should be able to simply replace those, I would imagine if they are not available new someone on here will have some kicking around. i wouldn't worry too much about the electric adjusters because as long as you can manually line u...

adjusting door height

That is indeed a very old thread! regarding drilling/tapping, if you could access from inside the wheel arch (and I have not looked so no idea) would you need to tap anything? could you not simply bolt the hinge and the new backing plate together? effectively sandwiching the already strengthened are...

Running 205/50/15 boots

Sounds good, just remember the faster you go with that set up the slower the speedo will read, nothing drastic but 70mph on the clock could actually be around 74/75mph And if it helps it feel a little less stressed at speed then it is good, personally I enjoy the fact that at 55/60mph in top gear al...

Newbie! Hello from Hertfordshire - now on my second puma!

welcome to the site and hope you enjoy your second Puma, having left Hertfordshire over 30 years ago for the wilds of Scotland are you sure the car feels slower? or is it just the amount of traffic down there now simply prevents you from getting out of 2nd gear

fuel pump

Can you hear the pump priming when you switch on? If not then fault is with pump/wiring/fuse etc If you can hear the pump then possibility is air lock in system. Take off the pipe to the fuel filter (can be a pain) switch on, fuel should come out of pipe, do the same with pipe out of filter to ensur...

i know in theory its easy "roadwarrior" but my car budget/fund for the year is only around £300 and a large chunk of that has already gone on the new tank, drop links and MOT, add in insurance and road tax and it becomes a bit harder..but yet to look at the extent of the damage so will wait and see
