Re: Hi from Suffolk

Good luck - I'm sure you'll find one with some patience and willingness to travel

I found this buyers guide quite useful when I got mine last year http://www.projectpuma.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2320" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: frp vs standard puma

I'm with demonskull13 on this. I actually prefer the lines of the standard version - they are cleaner and flow more naturally. I do like the bigger wheels of the FRP but the widened track and flared body kit isn't to my taste - just looks a little bloated from some angles. Still, it must be awesome ...

Re: Lowest genuine mileage puma?

Excellent - well done! I thought I was lucky to find mine last year as a completely unmolested one at 47k. So I think you'll struggle to find many better. It sounds like you know Pumas but I would simply keep her in a garage (if you can) maintain the regular servicing and try to nip any rust in the ...

Re: Whats the 3 best things about your Puma

1. The smile. Something about the close ratio gearbox, the tight handling and enthusiastic engine noise always puts a smile on my face. 2. The styling. It looks like a cat about to pounce. The discrete elegant lines, the way the cut line falls in line with the rear lights and the unique fan blade wh...

Re: New owner..2001 model with 34k!

Welcome! You've beaten my mileage too at 46,000. Mine had similar issues too from lack of use (previously owned by someone in London who rarely drove it) but it has little in the way of rust (yet) - maybe exposed to less salt over her lifetime? I think the best medicine is drive it regularly. Mines ...

Some more reviews I found: A very balanced review of a future classic here: http://www.classiccars4sale.net/classic-car-review/qc-ford-puma" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Comprehensive review from Parkers, although dated: "prices start from around £5000..." http://www.parkers.co.uk/c...

Re: More than it says on the box.

Liked your post! Feel much the same way on mine; Pumas are more than just a car. I recently got my 2nd one after a gap of 10 years and it gives me a huge smile whenever I drive it. I'm gonna spend what it takes in the years to come to get/keep mine sorted; it doesn't matter to me if that exceeds the...

Re: 2nd time Puma owner - one to cherish

Hi Wadders - welcome enjoy your red Puma! After a 10 year gap a drive in my new one gives me a huge smile. Mine is low mileage too - just 46k miles; got a few minor niggles to sort out but then it is a 15 years old cat - not that it feels like it! Enjoy

Re: Newbie in Sussex

Hi Jason I'm also a Sussex newbie and would be up for a meet now and then - great idea, and I'm only a few miles away from Goring. Don't see many Pumas around the Worthing area. If you see a silver T-reg out on a sunny day along the seafront it's probably me! Will

2nd time Puma owner - one to cherish

Hi all Great forum. Ive just bought my second 1.7 Puma (a '99 T in Moondust Silver). Last owned one 10 yrs ago (a black S reg) before family cars intervened. After years of yearning I have bitten the bullet and bought another to cherish as a 'hobby' 2nd car. It dawned on me that if I was to do it, n...
