Finally had a day of being able to do some work on the car over the weekends. I've had a few jobs that have needed to be done for a little while now so it was good to finally make a start on them. First up was to replace the HCV, hasn't work for over a year now so I swapped it out for a genuine Ford...

Track day No 1 for the year done last weekend at Rockingham for the annul #TrackAddict track day. Started off as a wet morning and with nothing other than semi slicks with me the grip level was very low, something I discovered when braking for the Tarzan hairpin... https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.n...

Been a while since I updated this but nothing much has changed really. Will be doing some routine maintenance over the next few weeks to get the car ready for 2018 and more track days. Should be having a few parts arrive in the next few days so I can start to get a move on with it. Had the car out a...

I finally got the car in the garage, after moving house over 5 months ago the garage had been a bit of a storage area and the car has been kept at my parents house. Its not perfect in there yet but the car is in and its out of the way for a little while. I still need to have a good clear out and thr...

I know you can buy time at Bruntingthorpe for testing purposes, they have a nice little track to play on and a huge straight.

Your best bet is a track day, at least you can test in controlled conditions and build up confidence in the car in an environment that is safe to do so.

True. Its gonna be a huge balancing act and you'll only really know once you get it on the road/track for some testing. Plenty of seat time and mileage and you'll get it dialed in eventually.

Sure does.

Its great to see that there is some real thought going into this.... certainly not as simple as slapping an engine in the back and away you go.

Keep it up!

I'm guessing the raised mounting point will allow the front of the car to sit a bit lower? Obviously with the weight of the engine now gone the nose will come up.

Are you raising the mounting of the rear bush to suit as well?

Decided it was time to make the most of the fact that Lucy and I moved house a few months ago and get the garage ready for the Puma to go in. 365870 Didn't look that busy? and you seemed to have a clear run, which is preferable as less chance for things to go wrong! Was it busy at Trax in general? Cheers Stu. It wasn't the wing causing the understeer it was just the cold tyres on a wet track, once I had some heat and the circuit began to dry it starting to grip quite nicely. I remember doing silverstone on a scorching day a few years ago and it the back would be unsettled through woodcote and...
