Puma 4x4 Cosworth

Long long time since I did any welding with Aluminium but what I do remember was I didn't like it at all. Was converting new rigids into car transporters years ago and a lot of aluminium welding was needed for the ramps etc. God I hated welding those!! I was doing it with MIG which I'm pretty damn c...

Intermittent Noise

I replied in your other thread just now but reading this thread now I also think it may be the ABS trying to sort itself out. If any of the tone rings/sensors have been disturbed then it'll keep trying to calibrate itself or activate incorrectly. Simply having bent a ring even slightly so it's not c...

PUMA PUMA PUMA

If I remember correctly all Puma tend to have increased inner tyre wear. When I had mine tracked I told them to pull them in an extra degree and tyre wear thereafter was even. If you have minimum tread across 75% of the tyres then your still ok to use them. If it were me and they were still ok I'd l...

Just bought a Puma Thunder....Happy to be a new member and require help please

I'm with 748 here, don't panic about it. Especially not as much as some people are. Everything you hear isn't gospel, just advice. Mine was done after I drove 50 miles, was only left a short time to cool while other work was done before belt was changed. 25k miles later I sold it and was sweet as a ...

Welcome back

Re, my post in the last thread I replied to....I found the active topic link  A bit of a delay to open a thread but that may be my connection. Will keep you informed. ;) Come to think of it, this is exactly the same as the RX8OC site, this site now has big empty spaces to each side though. Is t...

Re: WHY THE WORLD NEEDS A NEW FORD PUMA :-)

I think Ford should buy the RX8 design off Mazda, put a 200+ BHP Ecoboost engine in and then they have a cracking car...call it a Puma and I'd be happy

That's pretty much what Toyota/Subaru did as it's not far short of an RX8 anyway and they call that a revelation. Pffft!

I recognise that rear bumper/spoiler. Was a Puma I was keeping my eyes on a while back which seemed to stop being worked on for some reason.

Re: Ford Puma GTA 5 Mod

If you want to practice the ring then you'll need to have a simulator that can add numerous BMW drivers who will try their hardest to cut you up, force you off the track, tailgate you and/or not let you past, and crash all over the track at every point. Well that's what I noticed driving round it :l...

Overpriced or trying to scare you off as they don't really want to do the work.
Either way, find a reasonable price as that one isn't, by a long shot.

I can't imagine how much this is costing you, but I hope the huge pleasure it is giving many of us watching you do things right is some comfort.

I'm really enjoying reading the updates/progress your taking the time to write.

Who is this Jehovah guy?
Can't be very bright when he commits crimes and there's an awfull lot of witnesses mulling about in the strangest places.

Questy seems to have all of the possibilities covered. Check all of those and hopefully one of them just needs sorting as they're all easy fixes ;)

Re: Hi everyone!

Welcome.

Vibrations around 100 kmh could be as simple as wheel out of balance.
Door open light could be bonnet switch as it is easy to knock out of line, or could be dirty copper contacts on boot lid.

Re: Distance after fuel light

86 miles is the most I done with the light on if I remember correctly

And yes, the car came to a spluttering halt, but I had fuel in a can at the ready as I was seeing how far I could go on a full tank.

oh...the good old days

Re: Think the milly has to go

Did you actually change the drums? My bearings kept failing quickly and it was down to the drums as they'd been bashed to within an inch of their lives by the 'mechanics' at the garage. Once I bought new ones all was well again. If your getting binding have you considered that these may be out of sh...

If I remember correctly the bent spanner used on mine was exactly that...a bent spanner, not an offset/swan neck one
