For sale various Puma parts

Hi Barry,

Might need the heater box, but I won't know for a while. Unsure whether I'm ditching air conditioning yet for the new project.

What I'm trying to say is, if no one else wants it are you going to chuck it? Or could you keep it and I'll get it off you somehow, sometime?

Thanks,

Ben

Mk1 Focus RS powered Puma

Thanks for replies everyone. I've decided that I'm going to merge the two shells together. My Aubergine one needs a little attention on one of the arches anyway. The plan will be to swap the boot lid, bumpers, doors, front wings and bonnet from the aubergine one to the silver one. I'll strip the she...

Hi Barry,

I'll know when I start taking it apart. In some places the bodywork looks right for its 36k and in other areas it looks like it's done 136k.

Shame no interest on my FRS one. Wondering whether to put it back to a 1.7 using this Silver one and putting it on eBay/Autotrader.

Mk1 Focus RS powered Puma

After searching for a while and discovering that there really are very few low mileage Puma's left, I came across this one that has been sat for a while. It is in need of some TLC in the bodywork department, as expected - it seems that the bodywork isn't really affected by mileage, but by time and h...

Think I might have found another shell, needs two rear arches but no surprise there.

Ok, so what if I put a 1.7 back in my shell? Or 2.0 N/A zetec to sell... really don't want the shell to go to waste :-(

Although it can be 'tuned' out with corner weighting etc, it's actually better to be sitting on the left side of the car, which I hate to admit. But because the gearbox is that side and is lighter than the engine, it's better for weight distribution!

Nope  although an ecoboost Puma would be good, Barry.

I'll be using my engine, spent too much on it not to and is capable of much higher horsepower. If my research is correct it would be a first.

Ok, got some plans for the car or a car. And I'm pretty sure of what I want to do, so here goes.. Would anyone be interested in my Puma shell in Ford Aubergine, obviously ready to take 2.0 blacktop and MTX75 gearbox? This would include the engine mounts and adjusted subframe to suit, so basically bo...

BUILD THREAD - Castrol Puma track car

Personally I think yellowstuff don't get enough use on a puma, being a lighter car than the focus and Mondeo. I would go with redstuff.

Unless all you're going to be doing is hammering on the brakes then maybe yellowstuff.

Most impressed by the trimming of the dash in leather. Looks a really good job. Like the colour too, something different.

Wow, the colour difference is brilliant, great job Barry. Much nicer in the charcoal grey IMO. I do wonder why they didn't just do its all grey in the Millie in the first place..

Sorry to hear the bad news Errol.. Not much luck this year with the converted Pumas :-(

Still, I have every faith you will get it sorted. Maybe a new block with liners?

I would keep it, even the budget aftermarket managements can usually run VCT. Will give you more power too.
