Lancaster Classic Cars at the NEC

Yup I saw the Puma for sale at the Auction but it was the only one I saw. Really surprised I didn't see an FRP unless I missed one.

My Puma 1.7, more than a year on (A works in progress)

Well, still on here but not posted for ages. I'm still taking the Puma to shows and it is getting some recognition now but it's getting ready for another cambelt change and some, minor bodywork and unfortunately I have no space for this as my garage is full of motorbikes and Westfields. I will...

    Rear wheel arch carpet removal

Hi Phil it is a bit extreme to take out the side windows but I understand as moondust is a git to match up to. I have a couple of spare windows that I cut out of a car but it's a long tiring job to get them out

    Rear wheel arch carpet removal

Chris does more cam belt changes than most so I suppose if the Ford rocker cover gasket is NLA he knows the best substitute. In fact I will probably contact him for the same info as my cam belt wants doing this year

    Rear wheel arch carpet removal

Surprisingly the screws com e out easily because they are screwed into plastic fittings. If there are the round fittings on as wellthey are just spun onto a self tapper thread off the bodywork so just spin them as you would a screw and they should wind off

    Rear wheel arch carpet removal

Hi Phil I posted on your thread about the cam belt change as well. Use Chris Alinson as he's not far from you and knows what he's doing.

    Rear wheel arch carpet removal

From memory I thought the majority of fixings holding the carpets in place were very small torx fitting screws. Just double checked outside and indeed they are. I hope that helps Phil.

4 inch repair plate cost me a car!!

As John says once a Q plate is allocated to a car it can't be changed. The IVA costs £450 and is a full days test at a nominated VOSA centre. An old car would probably fail over several issues and the re-test is £90 a shot but has to be booked in advance. First of all have you saved the plate...

    Bleeding ABS module

When I changed all the brakes and all the short brake lines on mine I disconnected the battery and everything bled up as normal so obviously fluid was making it's way through the system. The major problem for you might be slackening off the bleed nipples without snapping them. If you have or a...

    Running rich

Check the static cam timing. If it's not had a belt and tensioner kit recently the belt may have jumped and knocked the timing out.

My Puma 1.7, more than a year on (A works in progress)

What a mate he turned out to be. I've had my Aprilia Tuono since 2007 but have been less and less interested every year but half way through last year I decided to restart my biking career and TBH I've really enjoyed it. With the DRZ400 SM I've now got the perfect winter bike so I've done about...

My Puma 1.7, more than a year on (A works in progress)

From what I've heard but not totally confirmed yet the best option for greenlaning is BOATS or Byways Open To All Traffic so your bike and you have to be legal but it is completely legal to do. I live in the countryside quite near to Holmfirth and apparently there are loads of roads over the...

My Puma 1.7, more than a year on (A works in progress)

Hi Red Yes there's loads of green laning available but I want to do it legally, ie not getting an ASBO and getting the bike crushed. I've just joined Facebook to get in with a greenlaning group but I also know a guy in the next village that does greenlaning so looking forward to it. As you know...
