yes it is !! i thought id use pumaste,but thought theres probably some other pumastes,so i put 0161 in front of it. keep up the good work!everyone should look after their pumas,we want them around for many years to come.! :grin:

i agree!!if they still made them today,id go and buy a new one ! i keep hoping that somewhere like south africa or mexico would buy the rights to make pumas again,(like they did with the mark 1 golf)then we could import factory fresh pumas to the uk once more!

ive had my 2002 puma 1.6 from new ,(just done 35,000 miles!!)and the service intervals are as follows, 1 year or 10,000 miles for a minor service. 2 years or 20,000 miles for another minor service.3 years or 30,000 miles for a major service.the minor service is basically an oil and filter...

i thought pumas were 3 years or 30,000 for changing plugs and airfilter?

maybe it is km? that would make it about 130,000 miles,and why do pumas on the continent have wheel trims?i saw 1 in ibiza and 1 in tenerife with trims,maybe there an option outside the uk.and if it has done over 200,000 miles it would only be worth about £500 if it was in the uk.

theres new avon 195/50/15 tyres on ebay shops for only £27 each!!!i paid £55 each from my local tyre depot!!

someone the other day said to me,they still look modern,and i agree,you wouldnt think pumas were designed in 1995 and put into production in 1997,the only thing they should change if they was new now,would be to put some nice 17"alloys on as standard,then i recon they could sell them brand new...

hi thankyou,when i saw the puma advert for the first time in 1997,i knew i had to have one!!back then it was £14,500 for a basic 1.4!!!!so i saved and saved,and by 2002 i had enough to by a good spec 1.6,it was mine for £12095!the list price actually went down over the production years,mine...

stockport,near manchester,and id like to come to a meet sometime,but as i work 7days i would need to take a holiday off work so would need a bit of notice.

of course,when i bought it i ordered metallic paint, ,platinum sound system,air con ,and rear parking sensors.all for £12095,i saved 10% off list price by haggling with the ford dealer! the only mods ive done are a mongoose cat back exhaust and a k&n panel filter. :grin:

sparkplugs are changed at 3 years or 30,000 miles whichever comes first on the puma according to my handbook. 8-)
