Did you get an OEM hcv? mine was a cheap one off ebay has has been getting worse since I got it, blowing hot air. Combined with an airlock I had lots of symptoms of a faulty thermostat. Luckily the fan kicks in and all the right pipes get hot. Make sure your fan kicks in.

my temp gauge was doing some weird stuff coz of a faulty heather control valve (the HCV in that pic)

It's ok, all the pipes are warm at the right time and the fan kicks in well, luckily it was just an airblock and a crap HCV. Got a new one and will fit it tomorrow, airblock is sorted. :thumbs:

Oh, mine didn't come with new clamps. I cut the old hose out of it and then bent the clamp open. Put it back on the car, pushed the new hose into it and used a partially cut rubber hose on the inside of the clamp to fill the gap and bent it closed again. :)

The ride can be a bit harsh but I think the main reason behind that is I need to replace the anti-roll bar drop links, just haven't got round to it yet. Hey guys Does anyone know how to change the rear trailing arm bushes? I was changing the rear rubber mounts today and noticed there is a lot of play in the rear trailing arm near the sill, and am hoping it's something I can do myself (btw mines a 1.7 1997 puma) :(

Well, if it's worse after you've had the revs high for a while, e.g. motorway driving, and thhe revs go real high on dipping the clutch and stay there unless you lift the clutch in gear, then i would suggest it's the throttle sensor.

I've got the same, and I've replaced everything, the suspension, the rubber mounts and even the top mounts?? The gap is not as bad, but still there and the knocking is worse :( I think someone else mentioned anti roll link bars. Will replace those me thinks

Have any of you with width size 7J or more had any problems with this? Like the car veering into dips in the road?
