I have had the same problem I'm only 6ft tall, I got around it by fitting a bucket seat a "motordrive" composite it only weighs 5kg comapred to 35kg-ish for the standar seat.. if you read my other post/thread I had to remove the bucket seat to pass the MOT the other week as my bucket seat was/is...

As the title says......... who is using a scangauge II in their puma, I am thinking of getting one but :roll: can I fit one to my 1998 model year or is it just for post 2000 model years I'm after a trip/function computer that just plugs in..so would want temps/revs/mpg/speed/etc cheers Paul

I have used 3m, 2mm double side sticky strips they are 20mm x75mm x2mm to fix my number plates never fallen off we use these at work too and never had a problem, only problem is when you don't clean the bumper or plates completely then they don't stick cheers Paul

I have done the FRP airbox mod to my spare airbox, nice and easy mod to do ..I have not fitted it yet will do this week once I get my new stainless steel exhaust fitted and Remap.. I know Tickford spent time/money doing the FRP induction, but in the real world is the FRP modified airbox like...

but heavier as your adding more weight (bodyfiller) and slower just add custom gel badges to retain the standard look but a differant look cheers Paul

spoke to hoffman today on the phone and now getting a full refund from them plus they will collect the race tube from my works address tomorrow.. they just asked what was wrong I told them, and they said how about a full refund etc etc so a result I can spend the money on something else :wink...

I treated my self to a Hoffman race tube, so when the 1.7 went for its MOT I asked them to fit it as they have a ramp so a easy fit........ :evil: little did I know what a load of sh*t it is, does not fit anywhere knocks on the floor all the hangers are in the wrong place :| :| :| so have...

my 1.7 passed its MOT the other day, I have refitted my bucket seat now...only needed 1 brake pipe on the n/s front and 1 lower arm on the n/s as the bush had gone.. so its on the road for another year.. cheers Paul

Also drivers seats that do not adjust forward/backwards, I have just had to remove my bucket seat as it was in a fixed position and the MOT tester said it would fail the MOT if left :evil: :evil:
