Just started the Puma from cold, although it was ticking over normally, the rev counter was showing 7k for about 30 seconds, then dropped to normal.Any ideas guys? :?
Pull the plug in the drivers footwell to silence it,but you need to flick the switch in the door to reset it if it wont work on the key. Then the remote will reprogram.Miines done this twice so far in four years.
As stated above, the car should still start as long as the key is coded to the immob properly. The alarm is a seperate system. There is a switch right at the bottom of the door that will reset it if the locks wont. Its a pain though.
Mine did this a few years back.It was the microswitch in the door.IIRC it cost about 40 quid and i reprogrammed the key.You can try pulling out the alarm plug under the drivers footwell carpet to shut it up.It will still run as the immob is a seperate system.
Hats off to Autoglass though. They`re coming first thing to do the windscreen.Only wish I could claim it as one job off my insurance.I`d already phoned about the side window before the windscreen got smashed!Thank God for windscreen cover!
Went to the Puma this time last night to find some lowlife has put a rock through the passenger side window! To add insult to injury, went to meet the Autoglass guy this afternoon to find the windscreen shattered with a brick! Why do people feel the need to do these things? Its beyond me. :? :x
