As per title, great to meet another Puma owner this morning, Johnw272 was there with his recently purchased very tidy Thunder.
Always good to meet another Puma owner, a good start to 2024.

Fab! Mine was pampered when I bought it in 2009!
Age and outside storage getting to it now. Daily driver broken so Puma temporary work conveyance until Daily driver mended!
Then I think funds will be available to give my Puma a lot of pampering 🙏

I just purchased 2 pumas in the last 2 weeks. A grand each, both on same miles. Both in fantastic condition & fully undersealed throughout their lives. No oil leaks. New tires and both with mot. The red one has only failed 4 mots in 22 years. The silver one a few fails but nothing serious 1000005744.jpg1000005568.jpg1000005571.jpg

Based in Norfolk. Whereabouts is ET51.
Some more images from around the red one.
Ive had such great feedback about the car in the 3 weeks ive owned it. even a comment from aston martin/jaguar and coincidently ford puma designer Ian Pallum on SM.
Im pleased as punch.
It might be the nicest vehicle ive owned and ive had some ok ones.
I hated the puma when it came out, was the year i left high school. But over the last decade since i acquired my licence they've kind of grown on me. I own 3 now20240216_090307.jpg

Puma's are addictive, I have the 2 Puma's, the Medium Steel blue one is a 2001 car on about 65k miles and has failed 2 MOT's in its life, the Radiant red one is on 98k miles and has only failed one MOT and that was rear shocker top bushes, the only welding ever, was when I had the rear arch panels replaced.

The silver one is pretty straight.
Engine bay is spotless as is the interior, this little bit of rear wheel arch rust to deal with,
Drivers side has been chopped and a new arch welded in judging by some the sanded back paint runs under the clear coat around that area lol, Im happy with its overall condition and im pretty good with some waterproof filler and a spray gun (thanks youtube) so if a bodyshop takes the piss on the price ill fix it myself

That rust is probably only the "tip of the Iceberg" My Red Puma didn't look as bad as that and the guy I used, didn't think it was worth replacing the metal, but I insisted he did both sides, he was amazed how much rust there actually was.
When I had my tatty Thunder, I ground the rust out and used waterproof filler and after 6 months of driving through the winter as well it was just about coming through again, the car wasn't worth doing properly, so the repair was adequate.

When is the next Gloucestershire/Wiltshire meet?
Cotswold Classic car club normally have a meeting in July.
We have lots of meets in the North Oxfordshire/Warwickshire area.
Easter Sunday there a meet near Stratford upon Avon.
If you want any details, please ask.
JohnW272 is in Gloucestershire and knows of meets in that area.
