Due to having one too many Pumas and now a Porsche i have decided to test
the water and put my favourite Puma up for sale. Ive decided to go at £950
but may break it if enough interest. I really dont want to break the car as
it would really hurt me to do so. Ive shared many a fond moment with the
car. Ive owned it for around four years and have covered many miles across
Europe in it. I'll try and summarise in key points before i start waffling.
98R, Cuirass with heated screen but no air con.
MOT until September or October ish.
Reconditioned, polished ported head 30,000 miles ago along with low mileage
Millennium bottom end. New clutch, Gates cambelt kit at the same time.
AP coilovers and link arms, top mounts, bearings etc etc
Mondeo / ST170 big brakes
lower strut brace
Recaro Millennium interior with now slight wear on drivers bolster
Battery under warranty
Milltek slash cut cat back exhaust
HID 6000k, 55w lights
Oil/filter changed every 10, 000 miles or sooner. Semi-synthetic 5w/30
Mondeo sunvisor lights
Front and rear footwell lights
Temperature gauge ghia x clock
Front and rear park sensors
Fox Racing Evo 3 alloy wheels, Kumho Ecsta Sports but tyres are worn.
Tracking all correct with laser alignment.
All handbooks, service book pack wallet etc
Car is still taxed and in daily use. It has never ever missed a beat come
rain, shine or snow. It is Frankfurt emissions registered as i travel to
Europe in it whenever i feel like it. I have regularly driven ten hours
solid from Europe to home and then gone straight into work without feeling
any aches - superb Recaro seats.Never uses any oil or coolant - Halfords
advanced coolant and screenwash, semi synthetic oil.
Servicing wise - probably too regularly. Everytime i get bored plugs, oil,
wipers etc etc and get changed!
Good points
Excellent runner, hoot to drive (prefer it to the Porsche), handles
amazing, stops very quickly and never ever lets me down.
Bad points
Temperature gauge hasnt worked since replacement engine loom was fitted but
it has never ever overheated.
Bubbling on wheelarches - arches were done a year and a half ago but have
started bubbling again.
Reverse light is switch activated not by gearstick
Dent on o/s wing. WIll push out, it happened last MOT, MOT guy leaned onto
wing into bonnet and pushed it in!
Welding carried out last MOT but was done to a very high standard and is
very solid.
Some scratches on paintwork but most will polish out, its just that i
havent had a full on session with the car recently as i have been busy with
the other cars.
Im sure there is probably lots that i have missed but feel free to ask
questions if you wish. I have priced it less than the sum of the major
parts but if i a pushed i may break it and so here are some guide prices
for the goodies:
Recaro trim £250
AP racing coilovers £225
Big brakes £80
Milltek cat back £150
Fox alloys £100
Temp clock and sensor £30
Ill try and upload some pics if i can. Any questions please ask.
Car will come with standard single disc Ford sound system as i will be
removing the upgraded speakers, sub, bluetooth unit, microphone etc.
Original steering wheel will be refitted in place of my Momo wheel and tax
will be sent back for refund.
