Boot light - PLEASE HELP

Hi all,

I recently bought my first Puma and am in love - but she has no boot light!!

It's REALLY annoying as I can't find anything at night! LOL

All the posts I've found on this and other forums are about fitting a SECOND boot light, and all of them say there is a bulb, but no lens on the right hand side - or at least a wire... I have neither.

Has anyone ever had to fit a boot light? Or have any idea how to do it?

Evening Gaz!

I found that my boot light had been cut out by one of it's previous owners! The cable for it still existed but I only found it by looking behind the carpet on the right side. (The wire had both the ends exposed!)

I bought a brand new holder/bulb/wire off of eBay for about £5 and re-fitted it last weekend, I concur that it's a right pain not having one. After reversing my car into the garage i struggled to get anything out of the boot as both the car and the garage had no light.

Are you sure there's definitely no wiring?

I can't see any wiring there, but I have to be honest, I wasn't overly sure what I was looking for! LMAO

The boot light (and if I get confident, a glovebox light) is my project for today, so hopefully all will go well.

DONE!

Peeled away the side trim and (after much searching) fount the bulb holder.

Stuck a bulb in it and all is well

Gonna wire a second one later today.

Sounds like you bought the same set I did. I've not got around to fitting the glovebox light yet but there is a lot of useful information on here about it k:

Glad it was an easy fix! Did you check to ensure the light goes off when the boot is closed?
