Ebay or Mend-a-Hose

Happy New Year all,

My project car came with a hole in the power steering pipe below the AC compressor.

The replacement hoses on Ebay look a bit expensive but I have been advised that Mend-a-Hose or similar could fix the one I have.

Has anyone any experience, good or bad?

Not tried it , but the issue will always be the pressure involved , can / could the pipe be cut and a new section fitted with say high-compression fixings ? ... when you say the new pipe is expensive , how much ?
