Sadly a time comes when all little boys have to grow up. For this big kid however it means I cannot afford to run a car for 6 months a year only and resort to using my company car when the weather is sloppy as I'm getting a van instead.

As a result of that, FRP #296 is now on the Market!

What I can offer is a n excellent running FRP in solid condition with an MOT running until January 2017 (yes, I even MOT'd it last week). She'd covered 27,000 on the odometer.

All work I've had done to it has been carried out by Elite Motortune in Northampton who are well renowned for the care and quality of their work.

UPDATE: ASKING PRICE NOW £5500 ONO

History wise the car is known from this Forum when XIIVVX owned it pre-2010, since I had it the history I was given is as follows;

The guy I bought it from is a car lover himself (he had a tidy AMG parked on his driveway) and happily explained that the car went to Chris Birkbeck racing as a rolling chassis in a job lot of part-FRP's, it was put together so someone at CB racing could give it to their wife. Then she didn't want it so it was sold on. He bought it then discovered he doesn't have enough time himself to use it so would rather see it getting used.

All the usual rust spots (i.e. arches, door cils and underside) are immaculate, the paint work only has a few very minor scratches and very little in the way of stone chipping, the Zetec pulls and spits on demand, and the handling is perfect. I'm sad to be letting it go, but circumstances change and I need a better

It is something of a mongrel due to the mixed heritage between 154 and 296, but to be honest that's hardly a problem for what is a great example (with a lo milage engine to boot) that is also extremely well bolted together.

Can you add a price and location please. Ta.

Unfortunately the approval system the forum uses for classifieds isn't working at the moment due to the recent software update. But to advertise you need to follow a few basic rules:

As per the "for sale" rules:

http://www.projectpuma.com/viewtopic.php?p=34258#p34258

To ensure that the rules within the For Sale forum are adhered to, all adverts will be manually approved before being made visible. Please post your thread as normal.

To be be approved, your advert MUST have the following information:

1: Description : The more details the better; think what you would want to know if you were buying.
2: Preferred contact details : This speaks for itself, especially if you're not on the forum regularly.
3: Price : It is not sufficient to ask for offers, you must have an idea of what you would accept, so say so! Include P&P costs if appropriate.
4: Location : Essential if your items are for collection only, but advisable anyway as some people may want to collect if they're local.

NB: Links to Ebay, Autotrader, Pistonheads and other such auction and advertising sites can be included, providing that the above conditions are also met.

Cars being broken for spares must have a few prices of parts at least to be approved. "Call for prices" isn't sufficient.

Can you add a price you'd be willing to take for it please as "offers" are not an option.

Ta!

I believe potential buyers would want to know if this is 296 then why the manifold number is 154 so you may want to add an explanation as serious enthusiasts will very likely be put off :eek:k:

Long story short; 154 was smashed while 296 was broken for spares. 296's engine ended in a Zetec-S inferno. CB rebuilt 296 with the Engine and Dash from 154 for his wife.

Before that I don't know its history.

As you've said, 296 belonged to one of our members, XIIVVX. He had it up for sale December 2007, and it was bought by a member who's username here was Woolley (I forget his real name). The last time we saw it in one piece was Fiesta in the Park in 2008. Shortly after this was when it started getting broken for spares. It cropped up on ebay in 2014, and some info is in this thread: http://www.projectpuma.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=25791&p=334503

Ad updated, price dropped.

Please don't be too worried about the history folks, it really is a good motor. I'm also having it serviced tomorrow.

first sensibly priced one I've seen in months... and I can't afford it because I got fed up of looking and bought a 2011 Fiesta!
