Replacing boot strut with male Lucar connectors

Hello,

Hopefully somebody will be able to help me.........I'm trying to replace my boot struts on my Puma that has a 3rd brake light. I've purchased 2 struts, however to O/S struct has 2 male lucar connectors......I thought in my innocence I could somehow take the connectors off the originals!

Has anyone else had this issue? Is there an easy way around this or do you have any links where I could find one - or is the only option Ford genuine?

Any help / ideas would be greatly appreciated

Simplest way is to buy the struts off the right car. I have some if you're stuck.
