Not a fan of neons if im honest.

They are Mondeo calipers but Focus ST170 discs.

Hada bit of trouble with the brake conversion, had a very strange pedal feel, one minute work fine next it would just go to the floor. checked fluid and it was low.... Diagnosed as a leaking rear brake pipe. Replaced that yesterday and all is well with the world again.

Looking forward now to seeing how the car performs at Mallory Park on Thursday

you`ve done yourself proud Jay,
in a couple of weeks you`ve prepped this car well.
I like your AP coilies, they are probably the `best of the rest` if you can`t stretch to the mega money stuff..

Mine is actually going and stopping as it should (even the tickover is steady, at last)
See you Thursday :)

Cheers... Its my brother's car so its easy to spend his money! Ive just had to help him fit it all.

After Mallory there will be a few bits to be tidying up but the car is in the best shape we could get it in given the limited time we had.

Next on the mods list will be a full set of strut braces and poly bushes. It also needs a few repairs as well, all the copper brake lines will need replacing pretty soon so we'll get that done before its next MOT

Dave and the car made the track day debut yesterday and the car ran brilliantly all day, apart from a small power steering leak that needs to be fixed.

Few pictures!

good to see it on the track where did you get the Piper exhaust from? and what size is it as im looking at a sportex 4" oval back box BF570V by ford and am trying to find what would be the best for the money. The sportex is £144.95 on ebay

Jason

The piper was bought from a member on here, its a 3" tip.

You get what you pay for with exhaust's the sportex ones are OK but there mild steel so will rot away over time, piper/miltek etc are stainless steel so will out last the car but then they are twice the price.

Reviving this thread with a quick update, car & driver are booked in for Rockingham on the 6th March so there a few jobs to be doing to get the car ready again.

Few parts already bought, got a bargain on a couple of bucket seats so they will be going in pretty soon.
