Some of you may recall that Mrs XIIVVX's mother died in September.
On Wednesday her Honda Civic arrived here in Norfolk from whence it'll be sold.
It's about 2003, five door, 1.6 petrol and silver.
I drove it today
It's effin dreadful.
Nippy enough, finds its way up to 100 mph on private roads, doesn't handle too badly for an OAP's saloon
BUT
OMG! The steering!
I can honestly say I have never felt anything that bad. It feels like the wheel is connected to a block of wood. There's about 3mm of free play and then it goes solid, no progressivenes, absolutely no feedback from the road and no self centering. I swear you could set it up going round a roundabout and then take your hands off the wheel and it would hold that radius until it ran out of fuel (Which would be quite soon as it has a tiny tank.)
I cannot understand how anybody could ever drive one for any length of time.
