Twisty road?

Out on the track?

There is this big roundabout near where I live. I go around it in 2nd at about 3.5k revs, then as I approach my turn off I floor the pedal.

There is a slight rise and fall in the tarmac right in the middle of the curve and the front wheels lose grip as I go over, the engine roars then the wheels fight for traction as the weight drops back down on them. The car always gloriously regains traction even when I don't hold back, then zzzzzoooooms up the straight ahead like a bat out of hell.

Always brings a smile to my face that roundabout :D

About 5 minutes from my house is a cracking little country road that runs along the back of the Airport. The Puma feels sublime along there. Twisty and without long straights, so the lack of top speed is not an issue.

I also have a bit of roundabout action on the go, The best thing is coming off the R/A you have a camber change and it's slippy. Ideal for the Puma but not so great for BMW drivers. As they back off to get it under control I'm flat out and away.
Eat my carbons, weaner.

And finally. Give the car a good wash and drive slowly along St' John's Road, checking the car out in the shop windows.

C'mon we all do it.

Another roundabout fan :D

I know a twisty road nearby that has recently been retarmacked so it's smooth as butter.

Only downside is it has some blind junctions just over the top of hills so you have to be really careful.

Probably on the Sheffield meet last year - some awesome (and bumpy) roads over the moors :D

I like this bit with the little blue arrows:

To the left of the A1 either coming off northbound, or going onto it northbound are both fab corners. Getting onto it is probably most fun as it's tighter.

But then if you come off the Al, you end up on the roundabout top right. That's dead smooth, very wide and slightly cambered in places. Get a lovely "jump" as you come off it.

Cherie will vouch for my love of these 3 bends as her face is stuck to the passenger window in 2 of them ;)

Blatting up Fish Hill a couple of weekends was a good laugh.

Probably the best moment though has to be booting it into Paddock Hill at Brands Hatch

Ah! If your talking circuit bends.. then this one on the Nurburgring was my favourite called Auchen:

Went into it at about 95, braking to 70 - 80 down the hill and squeeled round the left hander. With an immediate right up a hill after.

Then this S bend..

This bend wasn't bad either:

:D

I'm hoping to hit the Ring next year. Doesn't look feasible this year, gotta get the camber arms and necessary cornerweight and alignment setup, new set of tyres and some rust sorted this year.

Plus I've already got a day at Lydden booked soon, and am hoping to fit in another day at Brands soon...

Loads of favourite places...

This is one (undefeated at this corner so far lol)

We drove trhough it at the Cotswolds meet...

Then there's the A272 but best taken in a more powerful car like my Accord Type-R.

And ZigZag Hill. Video shows it taken at a leisurely pace)

And Prescott Hillclimb, very technical! That last long right hander is VERY unnerving (look at the drop)

Impressed with the wheel spin off the line for the hill climb!

Crap Traction control fails again..

Ring next year, been mentioned before, idea seems to not want to die, I take that as an omen!

Come to think of it, i cant remember the last time i had a hard drive. I might rectify that tonight, take it down some lanes on my way home from work.

Nice vids!

My fiance keeps falling out with me when she's in my car, she doesn't like the speed so I have to drive like a granny when she's around :(
