Clutch slipping

Post by Coldcut » Thu Jan 11, 2018 8:30 pm

My clutch is slipping so i drive it carefully and it seems fine like that.
i was just curious how long would it last roughly driving it smoothly without harsh acceleration?
the bite point has been high for ages but the gears all change nice and smooth.

You can't put a time on how long your clutch will last now it's slipping but you can make the cost of replacement cheaper if you do it sooner rather than later as once the rivets start biting into the flywheel you may need to buy another flywheel and possibly new flywheel bolts as well (Zetec E's are stretch bolts but I don't know whether SE's are stretch or not)
