The wheels have come back from being refurbed .Also had the spare steel wheel refurbished. Hopefully we will be getting the spacers next week however I have seen on this forum that we might need bigger spacers than 20mm in case they catch , any advise would be welcome Image

What ET are the wheels? The FRP wheels are ET28 and on the rear look best with at least 30mm, but as an hub to beam spacer, not a wheel spacer.

ET28’s will fill standard arches nicely

The Gemini Puma is really moving, Currently we are prepping the body for the repaint , this will include all the door shuts and tailgate apertures so we will get a really professional job. Still in a dilemma about the rear bumper and what to do with it as we have cut a large hole for a rear splitter but are unhappy with the look currently, I think we may have to manufacture one similar to the front, I will hopefully collecting the spacers soon from one of our sponsors Co-ord sport ltd .Image Image

Rear bumper mock up , Top half is the original Puma bumper and the lower is off a Fiesta . These have been welded together using the Nitrogen plastic welder. The bumper will be filled using plastic filler as this will give added strength. I will add more images of the filling and preparation stages on the rear bumper soon Image !st image shows some welding. Image

Brilliant creation for the bumper!

So much work has gone into this, please tell me it’s not one of those rallies that scrap the cars at the end?!!

This is like a dream project. If i ever win the lottery i'd love to do something like this. I make no apologies for my love of Pixar.

The Puma will not be scrapped at the end of the rally ....too much work has gone into it. It will be sold at the end to raise more money for our nominated charity. Hopefully by the end of this week we should have the whole body painted

Rear hybrid bumper is coming through the stages nicely , welded and plastic filled . Now filling using standard filler for final detail, once ready for primer I will upload the primed images. Image The lower textured section will be gloss black and there will be a section cut out of the middle for a double tail pipe

The Puma is taking shape ..Front end painted and started the refitImage
Replace the orange repeaters with clear. Not happy with the wheel colour they look off white to the body so we will be repainting all 4. Image
Both headlamps were dull common issue so they have been prepped and re lacquered

The Puma has come on even more, Rear hybrid bumper has been primed and painted along with the spoiler and fitted, The lower section of the Modified bumper is off a MK6 Fiesta so all the lights work also . High glossed black lower diffuser and fitted a nice exhaust into place.....sounds great. New front wheel bearings discs and pads fitted, Now awaiting front wheel spacers that have had to be machined to fit so hopefully next few photos will show the puma completed from all angles. Then we will apply the decals and race numbersImage Image
