I feel mine has gone, its humming , and had the same noise a while back when front was gone......has anyone managed to change bearing themselves or is it a garage job....happy xmas to all !!!!!!!

any hints and tips would be well thanked....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

From what I can gather - the nut to get the thing apart needs to be torqued up to a rather high figure (can't remember what) so it's best left to a garage unless you have all the right tools and the knowhow.

Shouldn't be that expensive I'd have thought. I hours labout & parts tops?

Depends whether or not you've got ABS and patience. If you've got ABS, you need to remove the reluctor ring as part of the bearing sits behind it, and to do that you need a pair of circlip pliers.

The rear wheel nut gets torqued up to 220nm, so you do need a torque wrench and a 30mm socket to get it off and back on properly. Personally I'd take it to a garage and have them do it, shouldn't cost too much.
