velcro for number plates ??

I was thinking of using velcro to fit new number plates as some people report ones fitted with double sided tape have fallen off.

It seems people have used it for sill plates to.

Has anyone done this? can anyone forsee any probs?

Obviously they could be pulled off, but that applies to double sided tape and screws and even those that shatter when you try and remove them.

Did it with my last 2 cars without incident. Easier to take them off to clean behind them too rather than getting those annoying drips that never seem to stop.. :lol:

I also have done it to mine using the same stuff and for the same reason. Never had a problem either..

Mine too. Never use anything else.

In fact I got really pissed off when the Jaguar paint-shop drilled my rear plate after respraying the boot under warranty.

I have used 3m, 2mm double side sticky strips they are 20mm x75mm x2mm to fix my number plates never fallen off

we use these at work too and never had a problem, only problem is when you don't clean the bumper or plates completely then they don't stick
