Hi all,

been a while since I've been on here! Had a black puma before and sold it to fund a project (which is still ongoing 4 years later!) and a year ago my friend sold me his puma which was modified pretty much the same and for a bargain price so I couldn't resist having been subjected to a 1.25 Fiesta for a couple of years!

I decided to take the old girl around Snetterton a little while back as I always regretted not taking mine on one. Went along with my brother in his Clio 172 and had a pretty awesome day. It definitely wants stiffer shocks and all the rest, but it performed well, brakes felt fine and managed to out drive some others. I used to think panther black was the best colour, but after seeing these photos, I wasn't so sure. Radiant suits it so well..

Also grabbed a little video using a very complicated mounting system :D

I'm thinking of doing a few trackday events with the red Puma I just bought and Snetterton is only 40 miles away, mind if I ask how much the day costs ??? I appreciate you'd have to add fuel/ possible repair costs as well.

I went for a track evening with Javelin (http://www.javelintrackdays.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) which was about £70, but MSV do them too. For an evening you get around 3 hours worth or track time - I'd definitely recommend a novice day if you're only getting started in track days.

All I did before was give it a good oil change, check all fluids were ok and that tyres and brakes were in good condition - You'd be surprised how much extra wear a track evening can put on brakes and tyres, so be sure to have enough to make it through the track time and the journey back legally!

The puma isn't too bad on fuel - I filled the tank near the circuit and still had over 1/4 of a tank left.

Do 15-20 minute stints, come back in, check everything, let everything cool and go again. Just be safe and don't try to set fast laps is my best advice, it all comes naturally!
