Hi All
Virgin to site, Project is trailered track day/ general usage car, and would like top know if any of you good people out there have done or come across this conversion? Its not my first project car so I know there's lots of cutting and welding and re-cutting and rewelding ahead but hey its why we do it!. Also got a long list of who are the best suppliers of other major items such as roll cage, frp body kit and windows etc, etc,. Any help will always be much appreciated and listened to.

Hi Bob
I can't think of anyone who's done it on here as it's usual use is Corsas, Novas, Escorts and seven type kit cars. If you're putting it in the Puma you'll need all the Vauxhall transmission as well I would guess. It's a heavy engine for the Puma but the cheapest route to 200hp.
Barry
PS I have one for sale but it's with all RWD components

Cheers Barry,Yes got the lot been advised gte box with gear kit is better box than fords and less hassle with flywheel/clutch and starter. Looking for around 220bhp which a fair figure for this lump. I know its a bit of a weight penalty but after chucking everything out from the engine bay and moving the rad it should equal things out.
regards Bob

For what you're trying to achieve, sounds like it would easier with a Ford engine, no?

Hi Bob
I suppose you are going to run an early engine with a dizzy and some DCOEs for price and soundtrack?

Hi barry, No it will be throttle bodies etc. The plan is for the full monty all the right bits but keep the power down with mild cams.

Throwing good money after bad, Just go with a zetec or duratec conversion. "different" doesnt always mean better.
