Re-Programming Fob With Smashed Window? Help Please!

Hey there, i'm having a bit of trouble, my fob lost the coding and i don't have a key for the door so i had to smash the window to get in to the car.

i have tried the guide on here to try and re code the fob but when i tur it to position 1 the light doesn't stop flashing, could this be to do with the smashed window?

also the fob got wet but now the led on it flashes so i'm guessing its working.

and the key for the ignition is not on the fob, its seperate, i'm guessing the ignition barrel got changed at some point.

any suggestions?
