Strange smell when going 70 for over 10 mins

Hi everyone,

My1.7 puma has a really strange smell when going 70 after about 5 minutes. It is not loosing water and I get no warning lights and not overheating. There is no gunk in the coolant or round the plugs. Any ideas?

Without smelling it, it's a hard one to diagnose on a forum.

If it's not an engine overheating smell it could possibly be the clutch or even the brake pads.

Normally get a screaming noise from the passenger seat, over 70....

What do you duct tape if they start making strange smells as well?

If its an eggy type off smell,could be battery over charging,had that happen on a renault 11 turbo years ago...
