I need advice on how to remove the bearing shells that are fitted inside the drum. There don't appear to be any grooves around to allow you to get a punch in to drift them out.Any help would be much appreciated.
Also does anyone know where I can buy a replacement hubnut from at reasonable price?
Thanks

Buy new drums from Ford, they're only about £80 each and come with the shells already pressed in

Make sure you have a decent torque wrench when you put them back together, hub nuts need to be torqued to 230nm to correctly preload the bearings or they wont last very long.

Ive changed mine on the escort, took less than 20 mins to remove drum, bearing shells, refit shell and refit back on to stub axle, just use a good strong flat head screw driver and tap the shell down at opposite sides,it will move, then once a decent gap has formed give it some good taps and will pop out :eek:k:

iirc YIP did a how to guide on how to change the bearings, I have the older rearhubs drums complete for sale if you fancy going that route

As Martin says, there should be enough of a lip to tap each one out from opposite side with a decent screwdriver or drift.
They back onto a raised section in the middle so you can't tap from one side and hope to get them out the other.
Also if this lip is damaged in the slightest it'll likely screw up your new bearings like it did with mine due to the dumb arse mechanics who butchered them.

I ended up buying new drums in the end and they were only £56 for the pair from a good motorfactors.
