I have developed a loud humming/whining noise from the engine/gearbox area when I get to 40 mph and gets louder the faster I go and there seems to be a strange smell from the engine area when I stop, I thought it was wheel bearings at first but I've changed the fronts and the rears and the noise is still there, please help.
