Bonnet stay wont stay

The bonnet stay in my Puma falls off everytime I try to open the bonnet. I manage to get it back in place but it fall off if I open it again. What is missing here? Some sort of grommit?

Pls help!

There should be a rubber grommet in the slam panel to hold the stay in place when you shut the bonnet, sounds like yours is missing.

Basically any grommet that will fit in the hole and has a hole in the middle big enough for the stay will do the job.

quick/temp fix/......duct tape around the end of the stay so that it is a snug fit, should hold it
