Hi. I've sought advice on this forum for a poor idle. Now I've discovered a popping sound from the air box. It sound like pop corn being cooked. Could this be related to the poor, shakey idle. Where wud I check for a vacuum leak? Or is the Maf gone. Please help. Thanks. Chris

That sounds rather strange, personally I can't think of anything which would cause that kind of noise at the airbox. Have you opened it up and had a look?
